Not even you weasel.
Canada continues to be one of top 3 free countries and best places to live in the wotld.
Once you move out of your moms basement, you can move to the dictatorship down south with less freedoms

ParticipantThis whole mess would be easier to navigate without family concerns. I have to go to the US on Thursday as my dad is not doing well
Yeah, going to retire soon. Tried twice before. The inflation nonsense pushed me back into the workforce. Just waiting on the Trump Economy to boost the investments before finally giving it up. I’ll talk to my investment agent and see if it’s smart to turn my Canadian Dollars into U.S. Dollars. Just waiting for the great U.S. devaluation that is part of the Trump economic plan. Use tariffs to bring outside industries back to America, then devalue the currency and make the U.S. products cheaper to export. It’ll take about a 1% interest rate drop to make it happen. The U.S. is fighting to stay the World’s Fiat currency, against the BRICS Nations. The only way he can do it, is make it cheaper for their products and commodities to be sold to other Nations. Canada is finished. The West will be gone in a couple of years and the rest of the provinces will follow.
I pray that you find your father well.

ParticipantI may not move, but my investments are going elsewhere. You can’t make decent money on Canadian investments. The low return gets eaten up by inflation and a devalued currency. I’ve contemplated moving, but I have a disable child in a group home, in Canada, and aging in-laws that my wife would have an issue leaving them to fend for themselves.

ParticipantLeafs re-sign Hildebeast for 3 years. Clearly, they’re trading Woll and Rielly to Edmonton for the last year of McDavid and he’ll instantly sign a 8 year, $9.7M deal. In Tre we trust!!!
I thought the same thing. We may have to throw in the rights to Korshkov though. This is definitely going to happen.

ParticipantJust came back from the States, near Cornwall. Pretty much devoid of Canadians going stateside. I’ve been across a couple of other Canadian/U.S. border crossings recently, and the same thing. It’s a great time to go stateside. Hotels are cheap, because there’s no Canadian’s staying and restaurants are not busy. Some decent deals to be had and I don’t have to look at the Elbows Up clowns that seem to be everywhere in Woke City Canada, Kingston. I’m just glad that Hockey is soon becoming relevant once again. Blue Jays are trending into collapse mode with the Jordan Romano disease being spread around in the bullpen. Let’s go Bills!

I also see you are one those who continue to misuse “woke”.Ya the Jays seem to be falling apart…..its a Toronto sports thing.[/quote]

ParticipantJust read an article about the Habs and how they are currently 6M over the cap and will be trading Carey Price’s contract to San Jose to free up cap space. Nice to read about a team in ‘cap hell’ that isn’t the Leafs lol.
Article posted below as every time I try to insert it into a post here it doesn’t seem to work.
But, not really cap hell if they are trading the contract away and getting out from under it.
Hoping it cost them a pretty penny. The article said it may cost them a 1st round pick, guess we will see but for now (until they trade the contract) they are in CAP HELL!!!!!!
You can’t take that away from me. lol

Sources: The #NHL and #NHLPA have agreed to a rolling implementation schedule for CBA changes.
Among them: the new playoff salary cap system will come into effect *this season* for the 2026 Stanley Cup playoffs.League must have got wind the Leafs were set to take advantage of it..so need to put a stop to it now
Must be from when they benched Matthews after the Four Nations to rest him for the playoffs and give themselves more deadline cap space.
Oh wait, they were too stupid to do that.
