He’s earned a couple penalties so far.
The players know it, and they’ll just keep escalating as long as they get away with it.

We know, for a fact, that the NHL does not call penalties based on what infractions have occurred on the ice.Let me counter:
The Panthers led the league in penalties this year – 10:24 per game.
The Leafs were 18th in the league – 7:58 per game.
So doing very simple math here, the Panthers should be getting one and a quarter more penalties called on them a game than the Leafs.
It’s even worse in the playoffs: Panthers averaging 13:08 per game, Leafs 8:30 per game.
So we’re playing virtually the same as the regular season, and they’ve become a little dirtier (and that’s assuming the reffing is the same – which we all know is not true). – Wedgie
Nice idea, and it makes perfect sense which is why it will never happen.
Florida will get PP’s until they get at least a 2 goal lead.
Leafs will get a couple cheapies at the end, when the game is out of reach, to make it sort of look like it was called fairly.Then again, Leafs aren’t the only team that gets, or has been, screwed over. That non-call on Edmonton last night was horrendous.
As I said I have it a week and no one cares so neither do I. I’m not hurt, just wanted to know lol.

My best guess is it is a disgruntled (unpaid) employee trying to kill the site – best way to do that is to kill the Leafs’ thread.

I have thought that Ek has absolutely minimal involvement for years now. I think he steps in periodically to keep the illusion alive, but he has treated it as pretty much passive income for a while now.
The outtage a couple months ago was also suspicious since literally nothing was changed. Did someone fail to pay the bills?

Yeah the Panthers are a better team than what they showed the first 2 periods.

I think people got a little worked up over Woll last night, that poor guy must of gone into that game feeling tense as hell and still played pretty damn good and had some key saves. He’ll be far more ready for game 2 and look way better is my guess. -Dozzer
Tough to imagine a more difficult situation for a goalie to come into a game. Then the team hangs him out to dry when the 3rd period started.
