ParticipantIt’s not too soon to start projecting Crevier’s next contract. I think due to inflation it will be higher than Vlasic’s and could start with a something x $5.x.
Lol what? Drinking already Danny?!

ParticipantKantserov moved to center this season and is playing on a different level. How about Spellacy on the line with Lardis and Frondell with Kantserov centering then 2nd line with Vanacker and maybe Pridham?

ParticipantNot at all, it’s poor Steve and LA you have to be concerned about because we won tonight
Touche, however I meant you’re usually in the game threads talking to yourself essentially and glad to see you’re alive and well just like the Blackhawks team tonight! Cheers Dots!

ParticipantGreat first two periods for the Hawks and there for awhile in the 2nd it looked like the Rangers were starting to click but this 12-6 defense is locked in. Knight has only had to stop 17 SOG thus far as the rearguards are clearing the rebounds into the boards almost instantly. Also, Hawks are getting to the middle of the ice a lot of the time and that’s where their speed can be a difference maker. Bedard’s goal really deflated NY the rest of the period. FINISH THEM!

ParticipantDo we need to be concerned about Dots whereabouts?!

ParticipantWiz, I saw your mock draft had the Hawks selecting two Swede forwards (Stenberg/Nordmark) with their top two picks. Any elaboration on those? Would the Hawks really pass on Roobroeck for Stenberg? Curious on your thoughts and thanks in advance.

ParticipantThey said these were the moves they were going to make, KD even said something Blashill had said, when it gets to a point when we think a player is trying to survive instead of strive its time for them to be sent to the Rock to work on their game.
I think they are handling this season great.
I agree. From the outside looking in, there’s been moves I would’ve made a little sooner but they eventually made them and sure there’s a lot behind the scenes that they consider prior to making final decisions that we are not 100% privy to. Good on them thus far, keep it going!

ParticipantBlackhawks have recalled forward Dominic Toninato from the IceHogs.
Toninato, 31, has 17 points (five goals, 12 assists) in 24 games this season with Rockford. He appeared in 20 NHL games with the Winnipeg Jets the previous three seasons combined. The Blackhawks signed Toninato to a two-year, two-way contract on July 1.

ParticipantI’m not wild about the fact that, without a callup, they have only 12F and 6D healthy.
Only need 12/6 for Wednesday and can callup someone for Friday if needed. Hogs are in Iowa on Wed night and home on Fri night.
Would like to see Rinzel/EDM pairing in Rockford.

ParticipantJust look at the Jets, 2-5-1 since Helly got hurt?
Wonder if they’ll get in on the Brossoit sweepstakes. He played very well when he was with their club.

ParticipantHere’s another game where i see the opponents bench and they are huffing and puffing
Kings are a very old team and most of them have never been known to have high stamina. They only have 6 skaters under 29 and 2 of those are 4th line/press box weiners lol

Participant2 goals in 2 minutes, nice shot by Moore.
And bupkis since! Let’s go!

ParticipantWith Hawks needing to get to the salary floor next season and having a $30 million gap to do so, there’s been rumors of bringing in a big vet with a large cap hit like trading for Stamkos to help bridge said gap. Stamkos has a $8 mil cap hit for two more seasons. Problem is his production has fallen off since joining the Preds however there is another horse in the race the Hawks may be inclined to bringing in on a short two year deal without trading assets: Artemi Panarin.
Breadman is still a ppg player and could play top line with Bedard and Burakovsky or 2nd line with lil Frankie and Turbo while Bert bumps back up to 98’s line. Panarin adds a scoring threat this roster really needs for both 5v5 and PP.
I don’t see any forwards in Rockford this year that’ll make the jump next season. Not even Lardis. Maybe Frondell but he’s currently playing 3rd line in Sweden so yikes. Vanacker, Spellacy, Kantserov, and possibly Pridham will be added to Hogs roster but will need at least a full season in Rockford before they’re potentially viable options. Seems to be a 2 year gap before a wave of legit prospects are ready to push for NHL spots so a 2 year deal for someone like Panarin would make a lot of sense plus re-signing Mik or Dickinson.

ParticipantBy point per game %, Tankathon has the Hawks out of the playoff picture. CHI with the 11th pick and Florida with the 12th.
Package them and move up to top 5?
