It’s not a question of goalie coach. It’s a question of better play in front of Ersson combined with Ersson needing to cut down the two-week slumps that kill his GAA and save percentage because he gets pulled several times in that span. Has had a couple of those every year. But also has month-plus stretches of playing very well.
1) Looking for a good recommendation for a Blackhawks writer. I had a lead before we launched but his plate was full. I’d like to get someone in place (at latest) by the end the summer. I hope sooner.
2) I’d love to have a super detailed cap section. It’ll probably more basic like Cap Central from HB but as we grow, I’d love to do something more detailed and sophisticated in terms of player-by-player data.
Well, my favorite studio album is A Trick of the Tail. Favorite live album is Seconds Out. So, I guess, maybe Phil dong the older stuff.
Will be tough to bring Oettinger back. DeBoer did the coach equivalent of Roman Cechmanek’a teammates shooting pucks at his mask on purpose at the end of his tenure.
The message boards aren’t where we want them to be. But the site on the whole is doing very well so far. Several thousand registered users (with no advertising dollars spent yet), time on site per has exceeded our expectations and a high event count.
People come for different reasons. Most do not participate in the forums, so that is a big goal moving forward. But we have other aspects of the site planned.
By the way, we have a very high rate of converting Facebook group membership into site registration here. However, most there use the chats via Messenger. We do want more on the Forums here but the bottom line is building user base, and that part is going quite well.
Clarke was close with Cliff Fletcher and he also gave Chuck his start in management as his assistant general manager. I’m sure that helped Chuck in the process here. That said, Fletcher and Zito fit a similar profile: Ivy League educated (Fletcher at Harvard, Zito at Yale), both started out as player agents before “switching sides” to management, both did the assistant-GM to head GM route. So while Chuck was probably the first choice all along, there was also a “type” they were looking for after Hexy. They wanted someone Dave Scott and Comcast would say, “OK, he checks the boxes we feel comfortable with after the last GM.”
