To clarify on the documentary, whatever it is, it’s not Dupont deciding to come, is it?

With the Leaf’s pick, do you mean the Flyers will get the 2027 pick with no condition, relegating the Bruins to wait until 2028? Or will either the Bruins or Leafs have the option to bump the Flyers to 2028. I am fairly certain that by protecting their condition in 2026, it takes away the Leafs ability to enforce any conditions in 2027 or 2028.

Moose has a health situation in his family. That’s why he is likely not coming.

It is believed there are no conditions either in 2017 (likely going to be owned by the Flyers) or 2018 (Boston). NHL office still has not officially commented despite requests.

Also, any update regarding the Alumni Association news/announcement on the documentary premiere? Or was the Marsh video thing it?

It wasn’t Brad’s video. It’s something that will be announced. It’s something similar to what the Alumni are currently doing during the playoffs. Will leave it at that for now.

Regarding the 2027 first round pick, the NHL has not definitively clarified it yet. But it seems like the Flyers ultimately get it.

Our Offense has to improve or it’s going to be a very short series. Right now Risto is our leading score for the playoffs. Our Offense has to top overpassing the puck and shoot it! I hope Tippett is in tonight, but it doesn’t look good.

It needs to start with Konecny: leading regular season point getter in five straight seasons: two career playoff goals, 10 career playoff assists in 29 career playoff games.

The Flyers need a lot of other players to contribute more, too: Foerster, Zegras, Michkov, Martone, Cates, Dvorak et al. But I think it needs to start tonight with TK making a play.

The team seemed deflated without Tippett. Carolina’s forecheck gave the Flyers fits. Too many dump and no chases or 1 and dones for Philly. It was nice to see the Flyers finally put some pucks on net, but that was at the end of the game with a PP and the goalie pulled. Hopefully they shoot more in the next game. Hopefully Tippett is back for game 2? I wonder if Tocch will change the line up next game?

Tippett seems more likely for Game 3 than for tonight, unfortunately. Grundstrom might get in tonight.

From your post… “The Senators have been off for a week after sweeping the Ottawa Senators in the first round.”

Those Senators must have be an extraordinary team to both sweep the series and be swept by themselves. LOL!!!

    Fixed the typo. Thx.

The Flyers had transition chances even last night. Absolutely cannot by a goal in transition, which was also a problem throughout the entire Pens series; even in building a 3-0 lead in the series. Tippett was clearly laboring physically as the Pens series went on, but he was sorely missed last night. The team had better dig deep in Game 2. A split in Raleigh would be great. Coming back home down 2-0 and having to be all but perfect thereafter is a recipe for a short series.

Vladar seems banged up so he may need to sit a game. Hopefully he is able to play on Saturday? Having the home crowd may get Ersson through a tough game 4 vs the pens if Vladar is out. Hopefully things work out and no need for a game 5 in pissburgh.

My gut feeling is that Vladar will start Game Four. Maybe that’s because Ersson never loosened up, got his gear ready, etc. in Game 3 when Vladar was shaken up. I don’t put much stock, one way or the other, to Vladar reporting to the staff on Thursday that he was feeling better. We will see at the morning skate on Saturday.

The Flyers have to be careful when Pissburgh starts to get in to their headhunting mode. Some of the stuff I saw towards the end of the game reminded me of James Neal headhunting Couturier back in the day. The Flyers need to continue to get under their skin and get them losing their cool. But they also need to keep their heads on a swivel because those sniveling asshats in Yellow (its NOT gold) will attempt to injure and take out players if they can. Its been the M.O. of Crosby led teams for 20 years.

Has the potential to get that way, yes.
