    Hello Gavin McKenna

Terrible to see Igor go down, I was listening to it on the radio, finally got home and havent seen a replay of it. If he is out 4-6 weeks, I cant see this team making it, maybe they rally around each other, who knows but we will soon see if Drury has a brain or if team makes a run, stay tuned!!

They aren’t rebuilding. I mean they signed a goalie to 12.5 million, they signed a dman for 7 year, they traded for a new captain and hired a win now guy as HC. Besides, they have 3 first rders the next two years. Obviously that’s been forgotten about lol because Genius Chris gets credit for nothing

If they fall out of it, what if they trade Panarin, and then re-signed him? We aren’t in a cap crunch by any means

Genius Chris has this team at 21st in the league and out of a playoff spot with more than half the season played. This team is what it is, a 500 team.

    Panarin for a 1st 2nd and prospect

Trocheck for a 1st 3rd and prospect (look at the Nelson deal from last year)

    Soucy for a 3rd

Carrick for a 2nd or 3rd (seems crazy but I really don’t think it is)

    Brodzinski for a 5th

Get whoever else u can to waive. Load up on draft picks, tank the season and hope we land in the top 5. This is a deep draft, having 4 1st in a draft like this would be huge for the future of this organization.

It depends on what management views this team as. If they think this team can win, which is laughable, then they arent selling off.

Inconsistency is the trademark of this team. Top 6 have multi point games and then go cold, bottom six scoring is non existent.

I really hate that I hate we won tonight… Gives Drury a long lifeline

This team are who they are, an inconsistent, 500 team. They got out shot once again almost 2 to 1 and rely on Igor way to much, that isnt a good recipe. Bob was terrible tonight, maybe it was the outdoor thing. Dont know but this is all on Drury, how he isnt feeling any heat I dont know.

From where we were 5 years ago to now, how can anyone defend Drury still?

Remember Tj said he was a genius in blowing up this team??? Drury introduced the toxic environment last year and it never got better.

Im not sure how they get JT and Mika to waive, being stuck with those contracts for the next half decade is a disaster. Mika has already aged terribly, Miller isnt going to be far behind.

The quicker they get rid of the toxic environment that Drury created last year the better beginning with him. The organization needs to flush the majority of these players out of here. They need a new direction and Drury and Sully arent it.

    I really hate this site.

This site really tries your patience. The buzz is up and running but there isnt anyone there.

Jan, in your opinion, when should Drury be fired? Or do you think he should be kept?

This just extended him this season, I fully expect him to still be GM at the start of next season.

The question is, do they do the right thing and abandon ship with some of these players (to stock up on picks and prospects) or do they attempt to pointlessly buy at the deadline to try to make the playoffs.

IMO the top six isnt producing enough, picking up a top 6 player this year, there are so many teams in the mix so fewer players, will cost more than the Rangers have in the cup board. Im not sure what direction this team takes. Any news on the Panarin front? Knowing what they want to do with him would be a big clue.

This is the team Drury AKA The Genius assembled. Not looking good. So tired of the excuses, every team in the league is playing this condensed schedule. You need more!!!

Gotta admit, gutsy win even if the tying goal was on the PP from a dumb, unforced delay of game penalty. It is what it it is. Rangers killing off 2 penaltys in OT was strong. Still wouldnt trust this team with anything. All players have some dips, Igor is allowed to have his too.

These fucking guys (i.e. Drury and Dolan) need to learn that if you try to build a team that will be Cup-competitive perennially, the wins will take care of themselves.
I lost my shit when I saw 43 on the ice to start the game. Sullivan is no better than any other “experienced” coach out there. Save my ass, trying for 2 points, bullshit mentality!! Try for 110 points, you gutless, short-sighted prick!!

I had said Sully wouldnt help. This organization thinks its in win now mode but forgot Drury nuked it last year.

    How to win a game.

    Cuylle, Miller, Perreault
    Panarin, Trocheck, LAF
    Othmann, Laba, Zibanejad
    Berard, Carrick, Rempe

Id switch Mika for Laf. Laffy is just not getting it done. Give him better match ups and see what happens.

Drury and anyone involved in player development followed by all tradable players need to go. Drury can’t survive another rebuild. He cheated on the first one and now we’re in a terrible spot. I’ll say this in his defense, Laf and kakko not working out probably is the nail in the coffin for this version of the team. I think every other GM would’ve taken those two players if they were in our spot so you can’t blame him for that. Development failed them and they’ve failed themselves. Everything else he’s done (or not done, I.e. getting a difference maker) is trash though

All of this is probably moot because the word is (and history would agree) that Dolan is not interested in a rebuild in earnest

Kakko has 4 points in 15 games with Seattle this season, so I cant say that he has progressed his game.

LAF, unfortunately, has succumbed to a team with one of the worst managed and developed teams in the NHL. in 5 years, hes had 4 different head coaches and 2 different GMs. Let this sink in… since 2020 we’ve had David Quinn, Gerard Gallant, Peter Lavoilette and Mike Sullivan as head coaches. They didnt have a captain, then they did, then they traded him away 2 years later. How is any team, let alone a young player, supposed to find development and synchronicity under those conditions?

In fairness to KK, he has been hurt most of the season.
