Out: Rielly, Kampf, Jarnkrok, Reaves, Robertson, McMann
    In: Jenner, McBain, Oleksiak

    Knies | Matthews | Domi
    Tavares | Jenner | Nylander
    Maccelli | McBain | Roy
    Lorentz | Laughton | Pacioretty
    Pezzetta

    OEL | Tanev
    McCabe | Burns
    Oleksiak | Carlo
    Benoit

    Woll | Stolarz

I don’t hate that. I would keep McMann over domi though

Happy with moves and non-moves so far. Tree needs to acquire a top 6 via a trade so we can shed some salary. Wonder who the trade bait top 6 options are?

Leafs only have Cowan as any leverage. Not sure how they will be able to make that work.

Perry is up to 4 million with bonuses. McMann is still good. Leafs aren’t done but I also don’t think they have much to trade.

I’ll be interested to see what Tre does today. So far everything he’s done on trades is for 1 year. Keeping his cap space open for next year.

Florida only has 4.9’million left in cap space after signing ekblad and 18 guys signed. Going to be tough for them to sign Marchand too.

Wedgie you still here? Haven’t been reading much on here or hb lately.

Anyways the wife is running a 5k on the weekend. She runs at like 32 min pace but is just starting. She’s been working out everyday for 15+ years and only ever walked for cardio. All of a sudden she got the run fever and has been running every other day.

I ran a 5k last year for fun in under 25. We went for my second ever run since I was kid 2 weeks ago. She ran with me in under 30. She was dying and it was a brisk walk for me.

Next question is sub 20 impossible for a newbie and leave the wife in the dust to pursue higher goals in setting a new personal best. Or do I play the good husband and run along with her? She has also has friends from work there.

    I’ll hang up and listen.

It’s probably career suicide but if I was Marner I would take a 1 year deal with the leafs for the same money. Show the leaf fans you can play ball and not demand the most money. It will probably help his mental struggles as well.

Then next year be better in the playoffs and take your big contract. It might help the future ticket if he can perform well.

Looking at game 7, know that we can eliminate the Stanly Cup Champions, on home ice. It’s why Berube pushed them so hard during the last week of the schedule. Getting home ice and having the ability to have last change is crucial. Keefe never understood this and rested players, down the stretch. It’s why we ended up with a game 7 in Boston last season. If we prevail, it will be a major step forward. To play Carolina with Home Ice would be an opportunity to make it to the finals. I’ll go out on a limb here and say Dallas will defeat Winnipeg and if so, the Leafs have Home Ice for the rest of the playoffs. Doesn’t sound like a big deal, but the games will be closer and small variances like penalty killing and powerplays will become magnified. Just score one more goal than Florida, tomorrow night, and it’ll be go time!

Berube has a game 7 victory too. I think he is going to really help this team this year.

If the leafs lose tomorrow do they even offer Marner a contract? Or just low ball him. No way they’re giving him anything in the ballpark that has been going around.
