ParticipantSorry everyone, just gave my head a shake wondering why I talked about what I talked about for a bit there.
Went and smoked a bowl and I’m good now, gonna jam the bass for a bit. Glad they got their coach, Go Leafs Go!!

ParticipantHow about those who have died waiting in the ER, died waiting for tests, died waiting for results, died waiting for treatment or died because the treatment just isn’t available in Canada. Free ain’t free to tax payers but there’s a lot of people who still steal from the system and the libtards let it happen because they’re in on the grift. It leads to bigger deficits, higher taxes, more waste and worse health outcomes. But who needs healthcare when you can just sign up for MAID and get your low cost government approved suicide injection from Dr. Death out in BC.
Those who died mean nothing to me without a proven list so don’t try that. List first, then the specifics of each case, and then I’ll review before I give an opinion or agreement.
Here’s what you don’t know. Most doctors up here in Canada wouldn’t stay in Canada if they made our healthcare like the USA. For instance my neurologist, who was once the president of neurology in Canada, was born in Peru, studied at two USA universities, but came to Canada because he simply refuses to involve choosing patients around their ability to pay.
Like me, money means very little to a lot of people, and the doctors working in locations like Europe and Canada suit that. If Canada tried to match the USA most of our doctors would leave the country. My neurologist is from Peru, my neurosurgeons? Canada, England, Germany, India, etc. want me to go on? Or can you grasp that they would leave if money became a priority?

ParticipantEverything you said after this is irrelevant because you can’t comprehend that the “most towards healthcare” is actually being wasted on people who haven’t earned it, haven’t paid into it and frankly don’t deserve it which means less for you who does. Libtards are literally brain damaged.
The ones who complain about waiting in the hospital for a few hours make me laugh the most lol. I soooooooooo want to say “try a few weeks you dumbass fucks!” (I’ve had multiple weeks multiple times). That being said I happily signed off on letting them use my medical data for studying, I’m a lucky fuck who lives in Canada and gets this then yes, use whatever you learn off me to help others, they even include high end surgical students at my surgeries for studying (1 maybe 2 at a time of course). I’m also growing my hair long for the third time (to the shoulder) so I can have it braided by my gf, cut off, and mailed to Toronto to use for manufacturing wigs for chemo patients. Blows the nurses and doctors away that I still seem more worried about others.
Wish more people were like this right?

ParticipantYes, genius libtarded logic, vote for the party that will give the money you need to people who showed up yesterday including denied refugee claimants.
I vote towards who gives the most towards healthcare. I don’t give two fucks about what you just said tbh. I’ve had a tenth of my brain removed and I have vagus nerve stimulator in me now which is a microchip, batteries, titanium, and some other metal cable wrapped around my nervous system. What you care about means sweet fuck all to me these days, it’s literally like kids playing in a playground to me and will never be more serious again.
Not trying to be an ass, but until you live on the edge of death and seize routinely having to take around 2000mg of meds a day you just won’t get it.

ParticipantVegas just hired a coach who has never been a head coach in the NHL and never won anything as a head coach anywhere.
giant fucking shrug.
Well I looked him up and I see how he got the job…
“Craig joined the Vegas Golden Knights NHL expansion team as an assistant coach on June 9, 2017 and simultaneously retired from his playing career.
Craig served as an assistant coach for Vegas since the team’s first season, and had served as an assistant coach for the team’s first 6 seasons and for all three of Vegas’ head coaches up to 2023 (Gerard Gallant, Peter DeBoer, and Bruce Cassidy). He won the Stanley Cup in 2023.
Nearly 2 weeks after winning the Stanley Cup on June 13, 2023, Craig was appointed as the head coach of Vegas’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Henderson Silver Knights, on June 26, 2023.
Three years later, on June 17, 2026, Craig was named head coach of Vegas, succeeding John Tortorella.”

ParticipantWrong. CBC was leaning conservative prior to Carney. The CBC isnt controlled by the feds
Most media outlets are owned by conservative or repubes. Alot owned by yanks
Anything postmedia – yanks
National post, Ottawa citizen, the garbage toronto and vancouver suns, the herald and gazette. The fact that you used the term “woke culture” simply proves you really dont know what you are talking about.
Well like it or not the liberals did just give CBC $1.38 billion this year instead of roughly $1.58
So say whatever you want, that’s still taxpayer money being involved.
Please keep in mind I do vote liberal buts it’s strictly based on my healthcare needs (millions of $) and nothing more when it comes to the vote. I have always been pretty much centred and before epilepsy I was a swing voter.
Dozzer
ParticipantIt should have been defunded long ago. It’s just a propaganda mouthpiece for the Federal Government and their woke culture is an abomination.
All I’m saying is the current PM has cut money, and now the only real reason the station was worth anything has come to an end, so now I’m truly curious to see how the budget will look once the government can look at the viewership without HNIC (it’s going to fall hard), use the numbers, and cut it with justification, even for their own voters.
My guess is we will see it for 2027-28 again, to ride through one year without hockey, but for 2028-29 (surprise surprise, the same year Carney’s game plan is supposed to bloom) they’ll have the argument that next to nobody is watching the station now that HNIC is gone and they will have a year of numbers to prove it.
Dozzer
ParticipantWell that’s the only thing that was worth watching on CBC so I’m more than Ok with the CBC being completely defunded at this point. It’s not surprising that the CBC somehow managed to fuck up the one thing that pretty much everyone in Canada liked or loved and is woven into the fabric of Canada (hockey). CBC just continues to gets more money to become worse and worse.
More? We’re no longer in Trudeau’s NDP wearing red liberal government lol. This year they were decreased in funding by nearly $200 million. I’m willing to bet that after the first season without the NHL we will see Carney, a true businessman liberal (like or hate him), will begin to cut it even harder. I won’t mind, I don’t watch anything else on that station.

ParticipantI would assume the AM/WN would have been asked also. 3 first round losses as Kings head coach, so I guess he fits the leafs mold
lol hence why I’m saying it’s not a bad choice but anyone who thinks any coach is a guarantee that the leafs will be better is dream-worthy hopeful.
Let’s see how management finishes playing with the roster this off-season, and then how the team meshes with him and his game when the season starts. He knows his hockey, I don’t doubt that, will it work with the leafs? *shrugs*

Participanti dont know shit about coaching, but this feels very underwhelming as a hire, after a month of “searching”
Babcock’s old assistant in Toronto
Chayka tried to bring him in as an assistant in Arizona but was outbid by the Islanders
He coached the Kings up until this year
As I said, used to this crazy ass city already and already knows the core pieces, not a bad choice at all.
Dozzer
Participantso Jim Hiller is the new head coach for the Leafs!!!!!
wow!!!
I mean WOW!!!!Not bad at all, I certainly don’t mind this.
Dozzer
ParticipantI dont mind the trade. Leafs get cap space, move out an often injured goalie and get a younger more mobile dman.
Although i did like Benoit.
Time for changes.Yup, Benoit is likeable but he’s also tradable. Bottom pairing guy, lets face it, you don’t stop a trade to hold onto one of those.

ParticipantIf Cassidy wants to coach a contender, he’ll sit and wait for a better situation than the Leafs.
Leafs are too stupid to hire Torts too. Pretty sure he just got let go for not swapping Hart for Hill in the Final. Torts is loyal to a fault sometimes.
Western Michigan’s Pat Ferschweiler among candidates to be next Maple Leafs coach is the latest headline. Another high tank risk hire if they go in that direction.
I’m sincerely hoping that’s precisely why Sundin was hired. To literally cuff Chayka across the back of the head if he tries to make a dumbass decision due to “youth”
*cuff*
Mats: you’re in Toronto now, you are smart as fuck at hockey but dumbass “feeling” choices are big no no’s, need me to go get Wendel now too?
Seriously tho I hope you’re wrong and they roll with experience. Another youthful anti-experience attack again? Please no.
Dozzer
ParticipantThe Leafs ask Vegas permission to speak with Cassidy.
Vegas says no (now an assumption lol).
The Leafs call Torts and tell him to deliberately lose the final if he wants a sweet contract in Toronto.
Torts says okay.
Today happens.
Dozzer
ParticipantMarner blocks a trade to Carolina then loses to them in the final 😂
Since this guy is living in Vegas he should take on gambling because his NHL luck sucks ass lol
