He just had to go. Even if the team is terrible without him, and Nylander and Matthews are heartless little Nancies out there, he had to go. The PK can afford to suffer too. Leafs don’t need an elite two-way 100pt winger. Passing is overrated.
The Sharks top player plays the right way.
He’s 19, probably 185lbs with his gear on, and protects his teammates when it calls for it. That’s how Crosby, McDavid, MacKinnon, Bedard etc all play. Too bad the horse the Leafs hitched their 58 year old cart of perpetual failure to is a total pansie. And their second best player is the biggest power-puff the NHL has ever seen.
That’s why the Leafs are a joke. Zero emotion from their top players.
