Participantseems like Heineman and our 2 1st fidopro
If that’s it, I give this trade an A+ grade.

ParticipantIslanders Islander-ing Mr. Peanut
They are quickly becoming Buffalo.

ParticipantFuck Yeah!!! 🙂

ParticipantGive me 25 on that contract and I can sleep well. And I know I won’t be sleeping well in year 4 (and probably 3)
Even 20 goals a year on that contract would provide value.

ParticipantI would prefer Mailloux be part of the deal, but I think it will be Reinbacher.
I doubt it’s Reinbacher because he will apparently be part of the management + players team that will be representing Montreal during the draft. Obviously things can change quickly though.

ParticipantFor Dobson, I think both firsts, and one of Matheson, or Mailloux.

ParticipantJohn Tavares signs a four-year extension with the #leafs carrying a $4.38M AAV.
Cross him off the list (not that he was going to play anywhere else than Toronto).
That is an absolutely incredible contract. Wish more players where like that instead of being mercenaries and using their hometown teams as barganing chips to get top dollar.

ParticipantJT, you’re a beauty, Leaf legend.
Hey, fancy boy Marner, THAT is how you endear yourself to a fanbase. Now f@ck off. (whipper)
100% agreed.

ParticipantWhhat a freakin’ steal that contract is!!!

ParticipantLooks like the Habs are amongst the 3 favorites for Dobson.
Edit: I guess, it’s down to Montreal and another team now.

ParticipantJeebus UG, are you trying to kill this site before it even get’s off the ground?

ParticipantAs per Frank Seravalli, Marner’s family are in Vegas looking at houses. This would be a good landing spot for him. However, there are many on this team who know what it takes to win, and Marner might get a rude awakening from his teamates when he tries to coast through the playoffs as is his habit. I don’t think proven winners would just sit back and watch him coast, they would lay into him hard. Perhaps this is exactly what he needs.

ParticipantI think both picks end up being traded, either for an established C, or to move up to top 5. I could be wrong, but that’s never happened before.

ParticipantGood read!

ParticipantI would not pay Tavares 7.7, although, being a PPG player, he could still EASILY get that elsewhere.
My feeling is he signs for 3 years at 5.5m. This is a value contract, and a massive home town discount. I think every single Leafs fan -1 would be absolutely pumped for such a signing, and consider it a steal. Why? Because it’s a steal.
