ParticipantI’m interested to see if Toninato makes it through waivers.
31 years old, less than 200 career NHL games, and only 25 NHL games in the last 3 seasons screams
“makes it through waivers” but you never know for sure.Metalhead
ParticipantThe Blackhawks have sent these players to the IceHogs:
They have sent AJ Spellacy back to the Windsor Spitfires in the OHL
Thanks for the info. No surprises.
I’m interested to see if Commesso can go from “looking very good” in the AHL to “looking too good” for the AHL.Metalhead
ParticipantNo doubt though, IMO Gryz will skate 20 minutes a night for the club.
Thanks for the info. I have no problem with Gryz making the team.
——Nothing outa Spellacy and Foligno was bad
Spellacy is very intriguing but considering how raw of a prospect, it would be crazy to expect him
to get a real NHL chance until 3 years after being drafted.
Any sooner would be awesome, but not realistic.Foligno was noticeably worse last year than the year before.
I think “old man degradation cliff” might be exactly what we’re seeing.Metalhead
ParticipantTo be honest, I never noticed him.
That’s possibly his exact job if he makes the team.

ParticipantHow did Gryz look yesterday?

ParticipantMH, like rpete I have trouble with the quote and too many times my post was flushed. I’m trying to figure out the funk here and avoid the quote most times. And when you don’t quote too often things get lost in translation. ….. A page ago you asked what a deal for KK might bring back. That is what I was answering……
Gotcha. I do get a bit confused myself, esp. when I’m replying to posts from a couple pages earlier.

Holy crap Barkov out for the whole season.Panthers released a statement saying he’s out 7-9 months.
The likely start of the playoffs is 7 months from yesterday.
9 months is after the playoffs end (barring some unexpected delay)With the new accrual and playoff roster rules, it will be interesting to see how they handle this.

ParticipantMH, If KD moved KK today he’d be selling at his lowest point on top of he just turned 21. The return would be a good bit less than the cost and time spent developing him, I’d assume……. IMO very very little chance he’s moved anytime soon.
Mr. Ricochet,
I never advocated for the Hawks trading/selling low on KK.
I pointed out how young he still is (I compared his age to Hammer and Keith)
and how the only, but unlikely acceptable reason to trade him would be a high 1st rounder, which is unlikely due to the 2026 draft strength. My preference (if I was in charge lol) would be to keep giving him chances until he proves to be a total bust out.
Mainly in RFD this year with a couple short NHL callups would be fine with me. (unless he shows he’s ready of course)September 26, 2025 at 1:08 pm in reply to: Brossoit: Prospect Showcase Packed with Top Habs Hopefuls #37945Metalhead

ParticipantRIP Barky – may be the season
Ouch. Who becomes a Panther?
Let the speculation begin!
Panarin!
Kaprisov!
Kirby Dach!Metalhead
ParticipantI am all set to begin chat’N here with you.
Welcome to HHS Wiz.

ParticipantBesides isn’t that exactly what KD did with Kirby Dach?
Trading Dach away while he was young was part of the tank process and it happened over 3 years ago.
The (major home run) return for Dach is already in the NHL.
KK is part of the rebuild process. Trading him now likely nets you picks or a project just like KK.I have not seen any wild guesses, what do people think KK is worth in a trade right now?
If they can get a high first rounder like they did for Kirby Dach, then go right ahead. (unlikely for the 2026 draft due to the presumed draft strength?)
Otherwise, my choice would be, don’t give up until he is toast.Metalhead
Participantbut he’s average IQ to me
Yeah, Arty is not surprising to the upside so far.
Hopefully things click, even in minor ways, this coming season at RFD and/or CHI. -
