You missed the part where he wants to be able to post here all day AND play scrabble.

He’s currently limited to posting here. Must be swamped with work!

Hang in there kick! WE ARE WITH YOU!

someday it’ll all work out the way he wants it to

I don’t think so, no, but it really doesn’t matter, going into details again would lead to nothing anyway, so it’s all good 😉

Yeah anyone can get a broken foot blocking a shot. It’s not because he’s fragile.

But when you’re now up to 180 games missed and 284 games played in your career…. It’s hard to shake the feeling you’ll always have something.

It’ll be interesting to see if Dach is still with the team after this season. One thing is for sure, he’s not due for a raise.

I guess in his case if Hughes decides to move on, it’ll be a matter of finding a GM who thinks the curse will be lifted once he puts on another jersey…

I wouldn’t want them to move on from him but the same could eventually apply to Guhle 🙁

I really like Guhle a lot and hope this is an aberration for his career going forward…. unlike Dach, who I feel is doomed to always be injured.

yeah, Guhle was pretty damn unlucky, I mean for his previous injury the dude cut his leg really bad with his own skate while he was in the dressing room… 🤦‍♂️

then again, in Dach’s case it also seems to be bad luck, he was like 2 feet away from his opponent when he received that slapshot on his foot, it isn’t just because he’s fragile or whatever.

I love Guhle. I think he brings exactly the kind of play you need in your top 4.

But with over 100 games missed in his first three season. It’s more than likely he’s not bound to play 82 games most years. That doesn’t mean you can’t have him, just that you need to be able to live without him at times.

Hence why I said in the blog keeping Matheson around becomes even more of a priority.

Unless they think Engstrom is ready to play in the NHL, which he probably is in a third pairing role.

yeah, I agree with what you’re saying, but then the question becomes, if Guhle is too often injured, can you rely on him to be part of your top 4, or should the habs consider moving on..?

(Then again, kept Laine off the ice a lot, so… not all bad!).

Well for some (Dach, Guhle, Laine) a healthy season should almost be seen as a surprising bonus at this point. Building the roster should be with this in mind.

Losing Newhook really sucked though. T_T

losing Guhle might be the biggest one though, the backend is different without him there… hopefully he doesn’t have the same curse as Dach, jfc.

You can tell fans have adjusted their expectations this year as we are back to being a completely bipolar fanbase. Going way too high in the good times and way too low in the bad ones during a long 82 games season.

Yet if you had asked fans before the season: Would you take a 10-6-3 record after 19 games? I think the answer would have been a resounding “YES!”.

We are exactly where we should be.

    this.

let’s just say nuance isn’t this fanbase’s strong point, holy 🤣

but hey, the passion is there lol.

Habs aren’t the same team when the captain isn’t going full throttle.

yeah, most teams will be impacted when one of their best players is struggling, that’s for sure.

I do not think Suzuki is at 100% either.

    probably not, no.

I don’t mind if he’s playing while he isn’t 100%, since every player does at some point, as long as he isn’t too stubborn to keep his ironman streak going and makes a small injury bigger because he didn’t want to rest…

Slaf looked pretty good on that 2nd line. Hard to explain but I felt he was more confident playing with two rookies, almost like he wanted to lead them and it produced great things.

Bolduc with Suzuki and Caufield wasn’t as good but we have to give them at least one more game to see if something “clicks”.

yeah, the coach had to mix things up a bit, wasn’t the top line’s best game, that’s for sure.

I think Bolduc is still struggling to find his game with his new team, he’ll get better and more comfortable once things stablize a bit.

That 3v3 showed the kids looking much more mature and collected than Columbus.

yeah, too bad they couldn’t score to then lose in the shootout… oh well.

slowly but surely they’re getting out of that slump.

There has been talk of Kadri, which is fine as he is likely a better fit, but he has 3 more years after this one.

The AAV is nto the issue, it is the term left with a lot of these guys.

yeah, you gotta wonder what’s gonna be left in the tank at 38 lol.
