ParticipantCause anything is better than work !
Also, there different type of absurd humour and or different level
yeah, Will Farrell’s humor isn’t absurd, it’s slapstick/vaudeville humor…
absurd would be something like Jean-Thomas Jobin

ParticipantI just feel that having someone as an elected official for 20+ years is tantamount to stagnation and rife with increasing amount of conflicts and abuse of the system to their benefit.
yeah but that doesn’t happen very often, the most recent example would be Pierre Trudeau who served for 15 years lol…
but I agree on the principle.

Participantnobody should be directing anything at 79 years old
the fact that someone is able to do anything they want without barely any opposition is a much bigger problem for democracy in the US than the lack of age restrictions… Trump could’ve been 20 years younger but still as insane.

ParticipantNothing in Canada that I know about.
right, it’s a four-year term but you can get re-elected as much as you want… never felt like this has ever been a huge problem.

Participantwould like to see term limits on how long people can serve in elected political positions.
but aren’t there already term limits in the US and Canada..?

ParticipantOnly few days away from the big trade happening!

ParticipantI prefer term limits.
not that I feel like talking politics, but I doubt that implementing an age limit would require removing the term limits…

ParticipantBeen having troubles logging on here and this thread was janky for days with only like 3 posts on it. Now there’s a ton lol.
just an FYI, I noticed that this website doesn’t refresh properly, so if you don’t manually refresh it in your browser it won’t show the newer posts and threads.

ParticipantPK was just a fun guy to watch play.
Weber was meh. Boring.
yeah, but considering how they both finished their careers and what they each brought to their respective teams, I find it’s objectively difficult to argue it was a bad trade for MTL, if anything it was probably a decent deal for both teams.
Subban kinda lost his “pizazz”, not sure you would’ve liked him as much if he had stayed.

ParticipantStill think that was a bad trade.
Subban? oy vey.
and I’m guessing you would’ve also kept Halak?
