Maybe I just feel burned after the whole Primeau debacle

speaking of, I was aware the return wasn’t going to be great but I was a bit disappointed that they only got a 7th round pick for Primeau lol… I think most habs fans now consider he isn’t NHL material but I’m very curious to see if he’ll be able to get an opportunity in Carolina, he’s still young and could become a decent goalie imho if he gets his (poop) together.

I think Dobes will pleasantly surprise some people this year. He’s quite a personality, but he’s got some solid foundations in the net as well – and he’s a big kid. I agree that Montembeault’s starts need to decrease in number a bit – it’ll be interesting to see what happens if Dobes really steps up to the plate in his share of the starts and builds some momentum for himself. I mentioned above that I think the Fowler/Kahkohnen tandem in Laval will be a good fit, and I’d like to see Fowler get a game or two with the big club before the end of the year just to test him at NHL level. For Kahkonen, my guess is that if he gets NHL starts it’ll be due to injury – but that’s why he’s a solid piece to have in the pipeline in an emergency situation, without having to suddenly put a ton of pressure on Fowler.

It’s very difficult to determine how a goalie will pan out, but I agree Dobes does have potential… That being said, playing the role of backup at the NHL level must be quite a challenge for a young goaltender, since they’re trying to continue their development and work on their flaws while not playing that many games to do it.

So who’s going to buy white supremacist american eagle Sydney Sweeney jeans?

what now, she as been associated with them ?

Well she’s in the new American Eagle commercial. In the commercial they say She has good jeans.

Libs are angry because she’s blonde with blue eyes and not fat and doesn’t have a dick so they are doing what libs do, calling people nazis.[/quote]

    100% agree.

I think Matheson starts the season in Montreal, but does not finish the season with the Habs.

that’s quite possible… Matheson is 31, so his next contract will surely be his last “big” one, and unless he’s fine with staying in MTL in a lesser role/smaller contract he’ll probably want to go elsewhere.

would be nice though if he did stay, unlike Petry he seems to be enjoying himself quite a lot in MTL and fits in nicely with the team’s leadership group. with fewer minutes he should be more efficient than he was last year.

Un pas pire blogue! @CoachFrenchy ????

    1. Who gets more starts this season, Montembeault or Dobes?
    2. Does Fowler spend the entire season in Laval?
    3. Where does Kaapo Kähkönen fit into the depth chart?

1- Montembeault will definitely get more starts, unless of course he gets injured… He should be playing fewer games than last year though, I expect him to play around 50 games, the rest going to Dobes.

2- Fowler will spend the whole year with the Rocket as the starter there, but once again, if injuries occur, you never know I guess lol. Anyway at 20 years old he’s way too inexperienced to become a regular NHL goalie, there’s no rush in bringing him up too soon.

3- Kähkönen is most likely an insurance policy more than anything, I guess he could be a veteran goalie supporting Fowler during his development in Laval…

@ Pat : Pas trop vu le gars pour être honnête mais j’ai lu qu’il était pas mal efficace sur le pp. Je pense qu’il pourrait être plus efficace que Slaf devant le filet. On verra.

First waive in my opinion will be

    Caufield, suzuki, Bolduc
    Hutson, dobson.

    2nd waive
    Laine-Newhook, Slaf
    Ghule-Matheson?

Bolduc on the first wave of the PP, eh? damn, good for him.

I will take cold 100 out 100 times over the stupid humidity.

yeah I get it… I’d definitely still take this heat over a (frank) ton of snow, but I do admit the humidity could take a break now, it’s been pretty intense lol.

    Lots of summer left.

    good..! ????

as I was saying earlier, I can’t wait for the season to start, but at the same time I want to enjoy what’s left of the summer, I despise winter so frickin’ much lol…

Will also be interesting to see if they use guys like BLais and Voleno to fill spots so that guys like Beck / Kapanenn / Mini-WiFi / Etc… play full time in Laval, at least to start the season.

Also, I think Roy will have to find another team if he wants a path to the NHL… maybe something happens, but I do not think so, too much talent in front of him now.

very intrigued to see if/when Florian makes it to the big club, apparently he’s even more of a unicorn than his brother…

agreed on Roy, unless he comes out of the gate firing on all cylinders he’ll probably have a hard time earning a spot in the line-up, as he’s the kind of player that surely won’t be as effective if you ask him a play a role in the bottom 6.

In the beginning, I was not, but I have become a pretty big Evans fan.

I think he can do more with good wingers… and still be defensively responsible, hence Anderson and Bolduc.

Will be interesting to see what MSL does with the lineup.

oh I also like Evans, I just find he lacks a bit of offensive awareness to his game at times but I remember seeing flashes of it where he would score a really nice goal and I’d be like “hey, he should do that more often..!” lol.

and yeah, if MSL wanted to move further towards what he calls “hard coaching”, I think he’s definitely starting to have the pieces in place to do it… if a guy can’t do the job, there will be another player waiting in line to grab the opportunity, he shouldn’t be stuck with having a player in the wrong chair by default for lack of a better option.
