You’re certainly right there. Sullivan is no different than any other long time coach.
I really feel that it’s because they always have to chase after the next 2 points to save their job, while the franchise needs to have a longer term outlook.

JT Miller passes like a beer leaguer. Just somewhere near the target, but seldom on the tape, or even the forehand.

I’ve lost track of whether it’s worse to trade a 1st, or a former 1st that we can’t develop. 🤔

I wonder what a package to jump ourselves into the top 3 or 5 at the draft looks like. Assuming we aren’t just picking there anyway (the bottom of the West is terrible!!).

    Not much to add.
Drury has not done a good job. Not sure I trust he’ll start now.
I wish now more than ever they had named Troch captain and we could move Miller instead. But, Vinnie will certainly bring a huge return.

These fucking guys (i.e. Drury and Dolan) need to learn that if you try to build a team that will be Cup-competitive perennially, the wins will take care of themselves.
I lost my shit when I saw 43 on the ice to start the game. Sullivan is no better than any other “experienced” coach out there. Save my ass, trying for 2 points, bullshit mentality!! Try for 110 points, you gutless, short-sighted prick!!

Fox has full control for 2 more years. He’s not going anywhere for at least that long.
I know he would bring back assets, but I still want Panarin gone more. It has to happen by March. Top priority has to be talking him into waiving.

The jerseys were the best part of the game. It looked like a live Bubble Hockey game!

It is maddening. Gabe just keeps scoring points every game. And we suffer through a guy that has not one offensive instinct playong on the top line. If he was productive once it would be from playing with Sydney.
Panarin is no Crosby. To be fair, Artemi did impress me with a backcheck in Chicago, but only one. He was the guy that was playing the point on the PP and just charged up ice with a guy beside him going the other way!! No one but the 3rd line play for each other. Our captain has no goals and the team lacks heart.

    A culture of winning?
I wonder what that feels like. 😮‍💨

Lol, Jimmy that’s a great comparison!

Here’s to hoping this comment actually goes up! Half the time I contribute something I scroll back through the comments and it isnt there. 🤷

    RIP Larry.
I can’t say that read his columns more than a handful of times, but he was certainly a true professional.
The outpouring of respect I’ve been seeing is an obvious testament to that fact.

I, for one am tired of this process. We have been through the same ringer with more coaches than I can remember now, honestly. I don’t care if you’re paid to win the game on hand. It has been 7 and a half years since the letter and we are about the same level of NHL club as we were then. Play the kids and let them work through their issues!! The other way ain’t working.
Don’t get me wrong, I can get frustrated with them. I saw the mistakes by Othmann that Sullivan was talking about. But, every time one of these kids makes a mistake, he spends a week trying to get back into the line up. It’s insane. We had Sheary and Raddysh in the top 6 last game while actual offensive talent sits in Hartford being told they’re only worth about $70,000 a year.
I hope the baseball game goes late again, so I’m not tempted to turn to the game in Vancouver.

I saw that Chytil hit. A shame. A damn predictable, preventable shame.
    I hope he’ll be ok.
It was probably not a late hit, by the book. But, unnecessary is a perfect way to describe it. Wilson wasn’t dirty, he was just an asshole.

    I hear you, Rick.
Frustrating is not the adjective you want associated with your website.
Sometimes, you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.
