ParticipantHey, good for Kaapo.
Not quite a record setting pace. But, 0.63PPG is certainly a good years for him.
All the kid ever did was try his best in the situation he found himself in.Tonybere
ParticipantYou don’t trade Cuylle when you’re in our position. We need 3 more of him.
Tonybere
ParticipantNot quoting so this isn’t half a page.
Sheary on PP2 last night made me so fucking angry!!! Even before the miss. The 1st time he was out there and Laba wasn’t!!! Give me Kartye before 43. Christ Sullivan, enough!!
As for Trocheck, at this point id like to see him stay. At least until the trade deadline again. That’s where we have the most chance of an overpay. And in the meantime, he’s a guy I don’t mind the kids learning from.
We aren’t in the position to need a PPG player yet. Which, btw, Mika is. He’s 4 points of that pace right now. Given all the shit that’s gone on around here this season, I’ll grant him that grace.Tonybere
ParticipantExactly what I said about Kreids before the season. A move for the sake of making a move.
As for the unsuccessful tank, I feel good about the way Zib, Laffy, Gabe and Laba are playing. Id rather they grow and gain confidence than continue to wallow.
At the end the day, I try to remember that when we won the lottery for Laf, we won our last game of the season and changed for percentages, but still hit!!I would argue the tank has been going quite well since Miller returned to the lineup.
You’re right there!
It’s rather incredible, really. JT doesn’t seem to be able to make a single successful play. Not a shot, a pass, a hit, a pinch, a chip, nothing. It seems every time he’s on the ice, we lose possession without a chance to show for the previous line’s efforts.Tonybere

ParticipantI only watch highlights so far. But this Canada/Czechia game is nice hockey to watch!! I’ll have to try to catch more of the other countries.
Tonybere
ParticipantThank you, sir!
It’ll be a long road. But, at least I’m on my way now.Tonybere
ParticipantOn paper, Canada has the best team, incredible talent. Its up to team USA to make up goals because they left the better goal scores at home in favor of JT Miller and Trocheck. I love Trocheck but in this tournament, I want Caufield or JRob.
I feel like Troch is a player you want for so many situations. But, Miller over Robertson is nuts.
As for not being around, on top of being tired of the endless frustration from our team and the added frustration of this website, I just had my shoulder surgery yesterday. So, good chance I’ll be around more in the near future.
Tonybere
ParticipantNo lol. Would just be another black eye for drury.
That being said, he is useless as a Captain. What a terrible situation.
Tonybere
ParticipantGuys, don’t bother.
Of course it’s not the blind idiot that is wrong, it’s every other single person. On this thread or elsewhere.
If TJ had the capacity to understand what we are all saying, this would have been settled years ago.Tonybere
ParticipantWe also apparently retained 50%… makes it even worse, despite the constraints lol
I didn’t see that anywhere. Has it just come out???
Tonybere
Participant“The situation was Panarin only wanted LAK. The first would’ve made this feel good but we had no leverage. Drury could’ve waited I guess. I hate Drury but idk what else could’ve been done”
What could’ve been done is to not tell the whole world that you aren’t offering your trade asset a contract!!! Not to mention not even leaking that you are shopping him. Drury did ok given the circumstances, except that HE CREATED the circumstances!
All we can hope now is that they clean house in the Development department before Greentree gets here.p.s. – in looking for Greentree’s stats I noticed that our 5th rounder, Aspinall, is leading the OHL with 67 points in 46 games!
Tonybere
ParticipantI simply cannot understand how the (unqualified) player development department gets a pass when we have STRUGGLED to have any of our prospects progress into NHL talent.
Tonybere
ParticipantBrukie, Mika and Miller hold all the cards. Either one has to agree to be moved. Mika might, but he has declined that ask at least twice already. Miller was just brought in and named captain less than a year ago. As much as I agree with you, they are probably staying.
Tonybere
ParticipantNo one will replace him. We are going to lose a lot over the next couple years.
Hopefully we can be reborn from the ashes. 🤷 -
