The flyers way is proven to be a failure and not successful. There is no other way to view it. The results are all the proof you need. yet the gold standard still goes down the same road.

Just imagine when Risto and Bonk come back.

Risto’s return will be a good thing but he’s missed so much time. It was supposed to be 6 months and the surgery was in March. We’re two months beyond that and no firm return date yet. He was the Flyers second best Dman last year. Assume he’s up to date on all the systems/watch tape stuff and his cardio is OK since it’s his arm that’s the issue.

Not expecting anything from Bonk this year, but what the hell did he do to himself? Upper body without surgery needed. It’s been two months plus. Everybody was commenting on the bulk gain. I hope he didn’t injure himself pushing things in the gym. Unforced error if that’s what happened.

Risto has missed 50% of his games since the start of 2023. He’s lost an entire season’s worth of games and not gotten above 20 pts since he joined the Flyers 5 years ago. He reinvented himself as a 3rd pair dman, when healthy, who now excels at not being asked to do a lot.

It’s great that Risto has reinvented himself as a defensive defenseman, when available, while still being paid to be the franchise/PP QB defenseman, for him. Him and his 9 PP points in 4 years. Ghost has had 90 PP points in that time frame and we wonder why the Flyers PP has sucked.

There has been no news on Risto or Bonk in a month. The last update on both was at least 5 to 6 weeks suggesting it could go on even longer. Do we have proof of life on either player? Very reminiscent of Ellis.

what is the bonk injury? no one knows. the local beats refuse to find out or are sworn to secrecy. gold standard orginization

he now has 6 points in 5 games: that’s nothing special. dont ever see him being a big point producer at the nhl level. they better hope him or nesbitt becomes a legit 2nd line center. Not a flyers 2nd line center.

the goalie is providing all the camouflage. this is not a good team. Any person taking a non-biased view will say as much.

At least it Is not a trap game scenario.

Every eastern conf team is in in the playoff “hunt” . very little separation. Really something to build on. Battling it out for that final playoff spot will be exciting. Flyers brass believe in the just need to get in and you have a shot.

Danny should be looking to get his players some help. They have earned. Just imagine when Risto and Bonk come back. Adding 2 top 4 dman is something no other team can claim off the top of my head.

-martone will be a stud. IMO he iwll be the better overall player and have more of an impact than MM.

-nesbitt not exactly lighting it up.

    – amico is the6/7th dman and not getting many minutes. he would have been better served playing juniors 1 year getting top minutes then head to college

    – the rest ok starts nothing special so far. see what happens at by the end of the year and the progress made.

    * all except martone are years away if they pan out.

is their strength on the current roster and organization on the wing? simple s or no.

They’re deep enough up front when healthy. One guy goes down, they aren’t super deep. The real strength right now is team defense. They’re 5th in the league at the moment.

well MM isn’t going to come close to thise 3 so the comparison is silly.

So is suggesting if Michkov pays attention to D-zone responsibilities, it’s somehow damaging his game. Cherry picking for breakaways in the neutral zone is something to be avoided.

guess a simple yes or no is too much for you.

yes it will damage his game as the keep focusing on the perceived negatives. why not play to his strengths? has to play the “flyers” way. so much success with that so can’t blame the flyers for trying.

Tk, zegras, the forest, tippet, brink, MM. Then you Martone after his college season ends.

yes, a surplus and organization strength.

making him into a 3rd line grinding winger. that flyers buzzword 200 ft game.

Maybe you have Martone when his season ends. As of today, there is no surplus up front. There’s no pressing need for the Flyers to do any deals.

Lots of highly skilled, high scoring Euro forwards knew how to D up. Kurri, Datsyuk, Federov, Barkov come immediately to mind.

They do appear to have had that “new coach” bump. Guys like Brink, York and Drysdale appear to have taken another step which is huge if this team is to become a perennial contending team. Also quality goaltending has helped.

    for that elusive #8 seed.
