yes its me 2050ParticipantWith Tocchet being named HC, I believe Frondell will be high up on their draft board. Desoyners and Martone probably will be higher then Hagens. If they want forwards who play more north/south, Hagens is probably the least likely to fit that mold.
Tocchet won’t be here in 3 years when those guys are ready to take off. his hire should have no bearing on who they take.
yes its me 2050ParticipantSeems like Tochett is the guy. I’m OK with this.
any particular reason?
yes its me 2050Participantthe flyer felators will be out in full force if this hire happens. yes he made his coaching career outside of philly. that career is not good in any way. how can peeps try to rpo this guy up when you look at his track record.
genuine question, who has he coached under his tutelage that he turned into all star level players? did he help turn anyone’s career around? has he developed any late round picks into solid nhl players?
yes its me 2050ParticipantThey are so far from contention you can’t even laugh about it any longer. there was never ever any fn rebuild. all peeps this blind or on the payroll? both?
yes its me 2050Participantflyers preach culture yet tocchet had that “room” in disarray. like torts he quit on the team. just the guy I want.
yes its me 2050ParticipantFriedman on Tocchet and the Flyers: “It’s coming.”
Says Jay Woodcroft, Brad Shaw, Jay McKee were all interviewed.
With the exception of Lappy and Shaw, no coach is taking this job without reassurances they will upgrade the goaltending. Otherwise setting up for failure. Is there a more overrated coach than Tocchet? What has he accomplished? If he is hired the flyers will be strutting around like peacocks thinking they outsmarted everyone once again. Sadly this was likely the flyers plan from day 1 hiring Tocchet. What an original, boring, predictable, and path of least resistance hire/plan. Cant wait to e that smile on “jonesy” face when announced. Has any team wasted as much money on coaching the last 5 years with zero results?
yes its me 2050Participantcreatures of habit. losing tam wants a loser coach. perfect combo
yes its me 2050Participantwhy on earth would boston want him I cant grasp. guy is a losing coach.

yes its me 2050ParticipantYeah I can’t see Giroux holding them hostage in some sort of contract dispute. It will be an easy negotiation for him to stay.
wonder if he ever wonders what if I had took less money to stay in florida. could have cemented himself as a HOF player with a cup and an appearance or 2.
yes its me 2050Participant
yes its me 2050Participant
yes its me 2050ParticipantI still would be surprised if Shaw gets the job. He was the “good cop” to Torts, I just believe for this job, that is a non-starter. Not a surprise Tocchet has limited interest in this job, apparently. The good friends with Jonesy was over blown. Not doubt there is a friendship, but Tocchet is 61 and if he accepts another HC position, it will probably be his last. Taking a job from a top 5 worst record in the league, made little sense.
don’t understand where tocchet gets all this hype. he has done absolutely nothing in 9 years as a head coach. why would a “winning” team want him?
him turning the flyers down would be 100% fn hilarious as what a bad look for the GS.
I wonder if they are looking at an assistant on a current playoff team. Maybe Bill can shed some light. otherwise seems a long time to not have a coach in place at his time. Wonder if there is a domino effect waiting to happen once one goes the other will follow.

yes its me 2050ParticipantI can’t envision any circumstance where he would want to come back.
Now that Ottawa made the playoffs the pressure is now ramped up. he comes back here little to no pressure and the feel good story. gets to ride into the sunset so to speak.
from a wanting to try to win perspective makes zero sense. He will probably do 1 year contract with the Sens for 5 million per or maybe a 2 year.

yes its me 2050Participantwanting captain comfortable back is hilarious. last thing they need.

yes its me 2050ParticipantWhat agency represents hagens….
if they draft a center with the 6th will they rush that player into the lineup for 25/26? Could potentially have that player plus the Jett with ex selke and Cates. Then again they may add a center via trade for free agency.
Can the Jett play in the ahl next season or still juniors or nhl only?
really want to see them make a play for mcqueen with the abundance of other assets they have at their disposal.
