We are one week away from the 2026 edition of Hockey Day in Houston. The annual celebration has become one of the nation’s fastest-growing one-day community events to honor and grow the sport. The hub activities from 10 a.m. CDT to 4:00 p.m. CDT take place at Saint Arnold Brewing Company.

One of the biggest highlights of the weekend comes on March 20: The Houston Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony powered by Main Event at Silver Street! The organizers have exceeded last year’s ticket sales, but still have room for more hockey friends!

This year, legendary Houston Aeros (and Philadelphia Flyers) head coach Bill Dineen will earn posthumous induction into the Houston Hockey Hall of Fame. Other inductees include Terry Ruskowski, Bobby Reynolds, Chuck Watson Shelly Pottorf, and Chie Chie Yard.

Houston is home to a surprising number of former professional hockey players. This year, in partnership with Hockey Hot Stove, Hockey Day in Houston recognize those who will be attending the Hall of Fame Induction to celebrate their compatriots: Hockey Hall of Famer Mark Howe, brother Marty Howe, Peter Dineen (Bill’s son), Michel Petit, Blair Stewart, Jack Stanfield, Bob Bassen, Pete Donnelly, Ron Grahame, Charlotte Grahame, and Graeme Townshend.

The latest Hockeyhotstove alumni pro guest is Jim Vickers, who played parts of 3 seasons in the ECHL before heading overseas for his final two seasons of professional hockey. HHS and Hockey Day in Houston thank Jim for his ongoing support for hockey in Houston as he continues to works in the game working for Map Hockey Advisors.

Come meet Jim next Saturday at Hockey Day In Houston 2026 powered by Main Event at Saint Arnold Brewing Company
