I am leaving shortly for the Flyers’ Alumni golfing and site-seeing trip to Ireland. I return on August 7. While I am away, I will continue to post Flyers blogs on a semi-daily basis. However, the posting times could vary due to the five-hour time difference and the day’s itinerary. Additionally, I will keep a day-by-day tour journal on FlyersAlumni.net.

Flyers Prospects: Summer Showcase Update

Friday is the penultimate day of the 2025 World Junior Summer Showcase. In Friday’s early game (2:00 p.m. EDT), Team Canada takes on undefeated Team Sweden. The later game (5:30 p.m. EDT) sees Team USA play Team Finland. The exhibition tournament wraps up on Saturday with USA vs Canada and Sweden vs. Finland matches. Nasty Knuckes with Rick Tocchet

New Flyers head coach Rick Tocchet is the special guest on the new edition of Derek Settlemyre and Rick Tocchet’s Nasty Knuckles podcast. “Tocc” occ talks to us about what it really means to be a Flyer (15:54), how he became the 25th head coach in the history of the Flyers (17:35), and a couple of his philosophies and how important trust is in an organization and with his players.
