The Buffalo Sabres’ top prospects will take the ice at the 2025 Prospects Challenge in downtown Buffalo. The tournament runs from Thursday, September 11th, through Monday, September 15th. The round robin will feature many of the Sabres top young prospects.
The Buffalo prospects will compete in three games over the course of the event:
Friday, September 12th, against New Jersey at 7 PM.
Saturday, September 13th VS Columbus at 7 PM.
Monday, September 15th VS Pittsburgh at 12 PM.
The tournament will also feature four games not involving the Sabres. The Boston Bruins prospects will also participate. Among the young players representing the Sabres will be:
Forwards Konsta Helenius, Isak Rosen and Noah Ostlund, defensemen Nikita Novikov, Vsevolod Komarov, and goalie Scott Ratzlaff. These players were on the roster of the Sabres American Hockey League affiliate, the Rochester Americans, during the 24-25 season.
Also competing will be Buffalo’s first-round draft pick, defenseman Radim Mrtka. The eighteen-year-old Czech native was the ninth overall selection in June’s NHL entry draft.
