Playing to a packed Flyers Training Center crowd, the Flyers conducted a scrimmage on Saturday afternoon. Each side (Team Orange and Team Black) skated 10 forwards and six defensemen apiece.
The first half, unsurprisingly, was scrambly. The pace and flow picked up significantly the second half. Scrimmage segments divided into 5-on-5, 4-on-4, and power play (5-on-4).
Saturday marked the first time in camp the Flyers worked on the power play. It showed.

Team Toyota Scrimmage Synopsis
- The first half was scoreless. Play was divided into 5-on-5, 4-on-4, and power play (5-on-4) segments.
- In the second half, Team Black jumped out to leads of 2-0 (Foerster and Klimovich) and 3-1 (Grans).
- Team Orange pushed back for a goal from Bump (2-1) deficit.
- Orange scored back-to-back goals from Zegras and Bonk to forge a 3-3 tie.
- Barkey received a great set up from Barkey to net the 4-3 game winner.
News and notes
- Late in the second half, Porter Martone got into a scrum with Spencer Gill. Martone was the primary aggressor. However, Martone was the one who came away favoring his hand. As other players milled around, Gill mixed up briefly with Christian Dvorak.
- Michkov engaged willingly in battles along the walls.
- The day’s first prime scoring chance belonged to Nolan Foote. Meanwhile, Jett Luchanko made it possible with a clever pass.
