I will say when i was looking for today’s game log it didn’t pop up until after the game which was weird to me.

But man this is great, Soda played fantastic today

Was a fun game this afternoon. Didn’t see the 1st period, but the Hawks were firing on all cylinders in the 2nd and third. The PP and PK were on fire. Same with Soderblom. Had a good save on his brother and a 10 bell on Larkin with a toe save.

A friend was asking about Lev. Thinks he may end up a Calder finalist. Still early, but he is looking good and putting up points.

Huge win by the Blackhawks and only two comments about the game… where is everyone? This is a three-game winning streak and nobody seems excited? Really strange.

Ryan Greene was terrific today. Also, the Bears were playing at the same time today. This is a Bears town.

I’m away from home this weekend celebrating our 32nd Anniversary. To an actual woman. Who loves me.
Not gonna lie, I’m in shock that she’s still here. ❤️❤️❤️
Hockey gotta take a back seat. Only catching up now because she’s getting ready for bed.

If Larkin elevates that puck at all it’s an easy goal. I think he thought it was a done deal.

My wife thought I was nuts. I had the Bears game on the TV and the Hawks on the Laptop. I would like to know what Bertuzzi said to the Ref. The roughing was a weak call, and I think Bertuzzi told him so, not in church language. How about Connor leading the league in points? I am still of the opinion that Levshunov needs more seasoning. Great game by Sod’s. That was one hell of a save. Good for Moore to get his first goal. Go Hawks!

Same time as a Bears game on a Sunday afternoon, going to lose some. Especially the way it ended.

Only 17 football games, lots of tailgates and watch parties.

Happy to see them get past their 2nd period woes. Can anyone believe they just scored 14 goals in the back end of a 6 game roadtrip? Speed, work ethic, and compete every single game.

Frenchy, what game log? Still do not see a game log logging in on my IPad this AM. Not the first time. Can’t comment on the game when you don’t know where to comment. This general blog is way behind most day’s also.

Hawks goalies are keeping the game’s within reach until the offense start’s producing.

Best move that happened over the off season was when the Denver coach declined the offer, and KD turned to Blashill. Last thing this team needed was another coach learning how to be an NHL coach.

Great game by Sod’s. That was one hell of a save.

If Soda can play like that once every 4-5 games in relief of Knight, Hawks would have one helluva tandem in the crease. Not many teams boast a solid backup goalie and that does not get talked about enough. And Nazar out, no problem! Should be a great litmus test on Wed versus another up-and-coming team that also has a lot of youth, talent, and speed.

I just gotta say i think my wish is coming true, i think KD is one of the few insightful hockey minds who are running a NHL organization.

I can’t believe how many of his draft picks are playing in the NHL and playing well. I said last season the trade for Knight and a 1st rounder for Jones made him GM of the year in my eyes.

I didn’t know what to expect from Blashill but what i did know i really liked the brand of hockey the lightning played and I’m grateful that he’s been able to bring that brand to Chicago, it’s nice to see a team skate with a purpose.

I don’t know Coach. On the old Hockey Buzz site the Hawks forum was known as the Board of Doom. Even during the Cup runs, people found a lot to complain about. Maybe there are a lot of “fans” here like that.

Also the Bears played Sunday at the same time as the Hawks so maybe the hockey game wasn’t widely viewed. And this site still has its quirks regarding downtime and posts being lost.

It’s definitely not anything to do with your content.

Frenchy, also FWIW, personally I prefer to comment when your columns appear on the forum page. But I read on the Rangers thread a few weeks ago that Aguello and maybe Meltzer are the only ones who have administrative rights to add a column to the forum page. If they don’t have time, it stays on the home page. Comments written there are often delayed for review prior to being posted. Comments posted there get more frequently lost too in my experience. So I dislike posting on the home page.

Over on the home page, good Week 5 Recap by the way.
