i imagine he’ll get a boost in users if and when there really is a new site. but after a while, once people see it’s the same stupid, illiterate moron with the same stupid, misspelled lies and they’ll probs just drop off again.

Or when all the blogs are AI slop written under aliases

oh please, if people go back to HB you’re gonna be posting there again, you can’t resist being in the habs thread for whatever reason that I’ll never understand.

Even if some sort of update were to happen. He alienated every single fan base he had, most of his contributors, promised paying people but didn’t and went full self destruction mode whenever someone mentioned the hot stove.

We are fine here, and yes Pat, I’m hoping more people will join us to keep things interesting.

If they were available / wanted to come to Montreal, I still think he would have brough in Granlund or Duchene, but even they got crazy money given the lack of centers coming to market.

So I am fine, maybe we can also see what some of the kids can do, and also hope that Hage is the real deal in a few years.

I get the whole taxes and palm trees thing, but I think with the rebuild and how things are going in MTL, players around the league are starting to notice, and they’re now more willing to play here than before.

    noah dobson says hello.

    So yeah, you are right.

I know people like to hate on Bergevin but once he said that trades are hard, he was right, like or not. Mtl may have a good GM right now but he is not a magician either. He cant make a trade happen if there is no trade to be made for a legit top 6 centre.

Fans will need to be patient on this one, cause this is clearly a seller market right now. Half the leagues wants a 2nd line centre with not much out there to play that role. Maybe a RFA could have been an option, but its getting more and more late in july now.

In a way, I am glad they have an obvious hole in the lineup.

If the Habs got a (somewhat) legitimate 2nd line center, then the expectation for this team would be unrealistic.

To be honest, I am more concerned about the penalty kill – we lost 2 of our best over the summer (including our best face off option)

Let them continue to grow, let guys like Hutson and Demidov (and maybe a few others, over the course of the season) get this season under their belt.

As I said, I am comfortable with Dach starting as the second line center…. I mean, we did not have one last year, yet still managed to get into the playoffs. If Dach (or someone else) can step up, then we are way ahead (with the other additions the team made).

Making the playoffs and winning a round in 25/26 would be a major accomplishment.

Truth or not, people have left.

    They are not going back.

    This place i good enough.

meh, speak for yourself, I don’t have a grudge against HB and wouldn’t mind at all to be posting there again.

having some new voices would also be nice, outside of the same regular habs thread posters that are always here/there.

You will be talking to yourself at this point, or with Pete.

its dead, people need to move on

This place is not perfect but its much better than the current HB. They want me to pay to have access to my old account. There is a reason why people decided to leave.

Be a damn human being, he just wants to be your friend and thinks you are cool.

    Hug it out with him.

    You will feel better.

    Real bros.

i’m not hugging him. i don’t even like touching things he’s touched in case whatever he’s got is contageous.

yup, and in a way this was even more the case back then for the habs, because they always had a rather aging group of decent vets that wasn’t really going anywhere, as opposed to today where players can see what the new management group is trying to build, making it much more interesting to play in MTL…

yeah, I don’t know what’s going to happen with HB, but I’m not a fan of this site, it is what it is.

the expectations will and should be higher for next year, but fans shouldn’t panic if they ever miss the playoffs, it doesn’t mean the rebuild is a complete disaster either.
