I would agree, probably a better team, but the center line is so important… pretty tough to produce something when you don’t start with the puck. you said it yourself our 2nd line did nothing at 5×5 last season.
last year they had Dvorak. his line with Gally and Anderson was often our best line.
they had Suzuki Dvorak and Evans, that’s 3 legit centers.
now they have 2.They did it without a real 2nd line center all year long, and Dobson, Bolduc + full season of Demidov > Armia, Savard and Dvorak – no matter which way you look at it.
I am not saying they are a perfect team, but they are a better team.

they have the assets to make it happen, just need to find a dance partner. easier said than done.

I agree, but there could also be a scenario where Dach starts the season with the habs, actually plays decently (maybe on the wing..?) and Hughes then trades him once his value gets higher. perhaps they’ve already made up their mind about Dach and are just waiting for the right moment.
