right, it’s a four-year term but you can get re-elected as much as you want… never felt like this has ever been a huge problem.
I just feel that having someone as an elected official for 20+ years is tantamount to stagnation and rife with increasing amount of conflicts and abuse of the system to their benefit.
8-12 years is more than enough.
Shake things up, bring in new people, new ways to do things, less institutional beholding.
Will never happen.
But I would do that over age.

the fact that someone is able to do anything they want without barely any opposition is a much bigger problem for democracy in the US than the lack of age restrictions… Trump could’ve been 20 years younger but still as insane.

I meant… don’t really care abut age, would like to see term limits on how long people can serve in elected political positions.
I mean, off course its partisans ( my algorithm is heavy skewed on my hate for Trump) but have you seen the clips where Trump is not making any sense ( oh there a few jokes there)
