Petey and Eriksson are the standout bad ones. There have been others also on a lesser scale. But not worth complaining about. I really think Thy should try to trade for the other Buium also, workking out day after day on the same practice ice will go a long way when it comes to comfort level of the city.

If Demko ends up with another injury riddled season, you can add him to that list.

But that can be put on LTIR, Petey’s salary can’t. Unless he’s injured too, of course.

I would pump the brakes a little. I like the Kid but he has 6 goals 20 pts in two years. We have signed enough anchor contracts in the past and we don’t need to keep adding to the pile.

Canadian teams are going to be having a huge disadvantage with the salary cap and the 40% differential in the dollar. Add to that the cost of living. I don’t see a Canadian team having huge success for many year. Elite players wanting to head to the tax free states like Fla Texas.
Buium will probably want to move on in five years.
Our owner is one of the cheapest fuckers in sports and as you can see he is not investing a lot of money anywhere.

Canuck fans should get use to having Swedes on the team and players from BC that care about the Canucks.

The political shit-show Canada and the Canadian dollar is right now with all the far-left liberal and socialist people and policies, aside, Buium is an extremely talented kid, and he’s only 20 years old. They’ve got something special with this kid. Is he in the elite Quinn Hughes level of player, no, but he had 14 points in 31 games in Minnesota (a good team) as a 19 year old defenseman, that’s not something to scoff at. Yeah, he’s got holes in his game but his skill level and ceiling are extremely high. As a 17 year old in NCAA Div I for Denver, who won the National Championship, he was third in league scoring as a defenseman, again, that’s not something the Canucks have had in their system ever, I don’t think.

The political shit-show aside in the USA & their imploding economy with their fascist wealth transfer grifting aside Buium is his own person. He’s won everything everywhere he has played. The Canucks need a couple big good skating bruisers drafted on D. Dupont would be ok I guess 🤪.

I’d pump the brakes a bit on anyone wanting to go to the tire Drumpf has going on when speaking of cost of living.

Back to hockey I expect to see more trading off of our vets as the season moves along. Maybe around early November 2 months in teams will look to load up to fill holes.

I do like the kid a lot and can see potential for sure. Tom Willander had 5 goals and 21 points on a very bad team in his first year so the numbers are decent but not jumping out at me yet

I agree with you that they need to be cautious, they don’t need another bad contract on their books, although I think Petey is the only bad one now and with an ever-increasing salary cap it won’t look bad even as soon as the end of this year…potentially.

Wouldn’t that be a real bust story Zeev wanting to go to Detroit to play for Grand Rapids in the AHL to play with his LHD brother. Cannot make this shit up lol
