ParticipantThey need this 2nd line center now more than ever.
Give me Stamkos
and yes, Ze GreatZe Bleug Monsieur Brossoit!
Thanks my guy.
But I would stay away from Stamkos. He was already slow as hell when he left Tampa, it didn’t look as bad over there because you had monsters like Kucherov feeding him and he still has his great shot. I don’t see him as a fit on the Habs though. We already have a guy that can only shoot in Laine.

I think they are starting to believe their own press too much. They are not doing the small things that were working earlier in the season, they are not shooting enough instead always looking for the perfect / cute pass, no one driving to the net, no one standing in front of the net in the offensive zone, not making it hard on the other teams to get possession or keeping teams to the outside in their own zone.
Just look at the first 5-3 PP they had last night… ZERO shots on goal. The second 5-3 only got them 2 shots, I believe.
Stop over passing, put someone in front of the net, and shoot the damn puck.

Like I said in the Hold blog, on the PP Coco needs to be on the side in a shooting position not in the goddam middle !

Participanthe is curseed
I don’t really believe in actual curses but yeah, it’s almost comical at this point how the guy can’t stay healthy, ever.
i bet Dach is a believer now.

ugh, I dunno about Stamkos though… I know he could turn things around in MTL but the guy has 5pts in 20 games, he’s getting pretty old, and is still making 8M per for another 2 years.

Not tht I want Stamkos, but if they were going to trade for an older player, I’d rather have one with a few years left than one with 5or 6+.
Will just use Laine’s cape space.

not a bad point, but at the same time, Stamkos isn’t looking good at all right now. Even if it’s a short-term deal, I’d rather consider other options and use that cap space more efficiently.

yep, play the kids, see what you have.
Laine, Newhook, Dach… tbh none of them are top6 materialNovember 17, 2025 at 5:45 pm #49527Pat1993

Laine, Newhook, Dach… tbh none of them are top6 materialyeah, well Laine sucks when it’s 5 on 5, Dach is simply unreliable because he’s always injured, but I’d say Newhook was looking much better before getting hurt, he has the potential of becoming a 2nd line player.

meh, not in my book. too small and doesn’t score enough (unlike Caufield) to deserve top6 minutes.
decent 3rd line winger imo. -
