Participantapparently Trotz is asking a top prospect and a 1st round pick for ROR?
um, I’d kindly hang up the phone if I were Hughes.

its like when you are selling your house, you can ask for what you want, doesnt mean you will get it !

ParticipantThe more realistics questions are : is Texier playing tonight, then Eggstrom ?
.
.
.
Fido :
of course they will. Marty can’t wait to replace wifi with someone better. and next it will be Struble’s turn whenever Reinbacher is ready..

Wrong again !Texier eating hot dogs tonight

yeah well Trotz as GM has been a complete failure, he’s probably rising the asking price to try and salvage some of those trades that didn’t work out at all lol.

Participanthow about a 1st round pick (top10 protected) and wifi?
more reasonable ask, but I’d probably look elsewhere, I still find it’s a lot…

ParticipantWho’s that metalhead dude?
ASP?Long time Chicago area guy now living in West Michigan.
Lurked on and off on HB since about 2013.
I spend time here because it’s by far the best group of people I’ve come across on any hockey forum.🤘

Participantto me all that “MSL doesn’t like Arber” thing is total BS lol.
I suspect Struble and Carrier are more likely candidates to be pushed aside.
I would have said Matheson, but he has played great with Dobson all season.

They are not 1 player away from winning the cup this year, so I would not be willing to part with a 1st round pick unless it was for a long-term asset.
November 26, 2025 at 4:04 pm #51507Mash
Participantit’s not that he doesn’t like him. he doesn’t trust him, different. that’s why he and Struble only play 10 min per game while Matheson is often above 25.
If they keep Little WiFi then Big WiFi can focus more on just playing his position rather than trying to run around taking numbers and being the muscle, I am hoping his game will improve. I like the physicality and shot too much to dismiss.

I’m still wondering who of Xhekaj or Struble will end up staying (I doubt they’ll be keeping both long-term) but I too would like to see things work out for the two brothers, it would be awesome to have them both playing and win together.

both will go imo. too bad they’re the only 2 bringing some thoughness. unless they can’t sign Matheson, then Struble could stay as #6.

well why then would both go..?
I’d be surprised if Hughes and Gorton didn’t have that aspect to the game in mind, even if the typical “goons” are basically gone they’re definitely aware that physicality is still important to win…

there no universe where cArrier gets pushed aside, well this year at least
November 26, 2025 at 4:33 pm #51517fidopro
Participantwell why then would both go..?
because the coach doesn’t trust them! and better ones will take their spot (Engstrom, Reinbacher…)
and yes, it is imperative to win a cup. your 3rd pairing must be physical and able to play on the PK, something Marty so far never did with Struble and wifi. he plays Matheson 25 min instead. that’s why I proposed wifi in a trade for a #2C, while he still has some value. if they’re not gonna dress him… might as well gett something in return, no? -
