The comp will be Hischier’s recent deal. $11,700,000 cap hit starting NEXT year for 4 years. That’ll be a small bit over 10% of the cap to start. Hichier is a solid .9+ PPG guy, is a top notch two way and faceoff guy and is Jersey’s captain. Zegras isn’t as good as Hischier but he is just heading into his 25 YO season and has an upside. Even if Zegras doesn’t improve at all from his current production, he’s a .8+ PPG guy. He’s a solid 7.5% against the cap guy in my view.
