ParticipantIt was great to make the playoffs, but there’s still a lot of work to do. Signing a big name Center would be nice, but I don’t think Briere is going to empty the bank on one player. It was great for our young team to gain some playoff experience. It did seem that some of the smaller players didn’t handle the physicality of the playoffs that well. Andrae, Drysdale, York and Michkov got pushed around. Risto was a beast and it was good to see him finally make the playoffs. Let’s see what moves Danny makes this off season and let’s see which young guys make the jump from the LHV to the NHL come season?

ParticipantSuch a surprisingly good year from what I expected. There’s still a lot of holes in the lineup and within the organization, in terms of players, but there’s a lot of good stuff happening and this is a very young team. We really need some high-end talent at the center position though, you can’t be a good hockey team without it, see Minnesota, but you can’t be an elite team without great centers.

Totally agree. But it’s going to be the hard part.
