For the record, for many years in Edmonton some have wanted Drai run out of town for lazy backchecks and defensive play, much like some say about Slick Willy.

They’ve had nine years to mix and match this core. The combinations don’t matter – these players simply do not elevate. It’s a personality and character thing, not a talent and chemistry thing. -FIDDYCENT
Your not wrong on the first point at all and I fear you may not be on the other 2 but they are stuck with what they have to some degree so I’d like to at least see them cross off the next thing they haven’t tried enough of to see (confirm if you view the glass half empty) that it doesn’t change things.
Marner will likely be gone so maybe this change + new blood can turn the ship enough to miss the iceberg of having all this talent for all these years and jack shit to show for it.

My gawd the leagues has ruined any momentum they had for the finals with the long break and the upcoming schedule is even worse.
