ParticipantMore? We’re no longer in Trudeau’s NDP wearing red liberal government lol. This year they were decreased in funding by nearly $200 million. I’m willing to bet that after the first season without the NHL we will see Carney, a true businessman liberal (like or hate him), will begin to cut it even harder. I won’t mind, I don’t watch anything else on that station.
Wrong. The only business Carney is interested in is a radical net zero agenda and enriching Brookfield. His conflicts of interest are truly insane. He’s got 91% of his money invested in the US, his kids and his wife live in the US and he’s a temporary foreign worker PM who is here to bleed Canadian tax dollars into his business interests, trying to pretend he wants to lead a sovereign nation but wants to join the EU. He doesn’t know shit about actual business as he plunged Canada into a recession with a record deficit after the libtard before him hid the recession by flooding the country with ridiculous immigration numbers and handouts. All he did was pay a sell out comedian to come up with the retarded elbows up slogan to convince a bunch of mush brained boomers to vote for him and now he’s got his elbows down as he gets on his knees for communists in China while Canadians suffer.

ParticipantWrong. CBC was leaning conservative prior to Carney. The CBC isnt controlled by the feds
Most media outlets are owned by conservative or repubes. Alot owned by yanks
Anything postmedia – yanks
National post, Ottawa citizen, the garbage toronto and vancouver suns, the herald and gazette. The fact that you used the term “woke culture” simply proves you really dont know what you are talking about.
Wrong libtard. CBC and most of the media is run by woke retards that have turned your brain into liquid red libtard shit.

It should have been defunded long ago. It’s just a propaganda mouthpiece for the Federal Government and their woke culture is an abomination.

All I’m saying is the current PM has cut money, and now the only real reason the station was worth anything has come to an end, so now I’m truly curious to see how the budget will look once the government can look at the viewership without HNIC (it’s going to fall hard), use the numbers, and cut it with justification, even for their own voters.
My guess is we will see it for 2027-28 again, to ride through one year without hockey, but for 2028-29 (surprise surprise, the same year Carney’s game plan is supposed to bloom) they’ll have the argument that next to nobody is watching the station now that HNIC is gone and they will have a year of numbers to prove it.

ParticipantWell that’s the only thing that was worth watching on CBC so I’m more than Ok with the CBC being completely defunded at this point. It’s not surprising that the CBC somehow managed to fuck up the one thing that pretty much everyone in Canada liked or loved and is woven into the fabric of Canada (hockey). CBC just continues to gets more money to become worse and worse.

ParticipantThe team was basically exactly the same minus Marner. They had injuries last year too but Marner had 100 points and brought them to 1st in the division. You have trouble with reality. Perhaps you are not only a retard but also a schizo. Seek help immediately.
What did McDavid do vs. Florida in the final games when he lost two Cups. Oh, I guess McDavid must suck too for leading the league in playoff scoring but being on a team that lost the Cup.
Marner did what the Leafs haven’t done since 1967; went to a Cup Final and led the playoffs in scoring. I can’t accept reality because I’m the Unhinged Retard UG.[/quote]
You are just like your boy Mitchy – so mentally weak it’s painful to see or have to read. You moving the goalposts and keeping up the strawman arguments must keep you tired though, hope mommy gets extra chicken nuggies for the basement internet hero you are retard.
Keep pretenting Marner was the only reason the Leafs were successful and his departure is the only reason they failed this year if you need to in order to cope with him yet again choking and losing in the big games. Olympics – failure for the gold, Cup Finals – Ghosts and shits his pants games 4, 5 and 6. Nobody gives a shit about losing so you getting hot and horny because Vegas made the finals and then shit the bed means jack shit. And you crowing that Marner led Vegas to the finals is so hypocritical considering all you’ve done is try to blame everyone but Marner for them losing.
Go ask an adult to help you pick a position and defend it vs changing your tune as often as Marner changes his tampon you fucking moron.
Vegas loses, Marner loses the Conn Smyth and the team he veto’d a trade to wins the cup – EVERYONE LOVES THIS FOR YOU AND AA SO HARD.

Participanthas to be an upgrade on Berube. hopefully can get AM back to his 50 goal ways
Some cope for Leafs fans – under Jim Hiller, the Kings were:
– 2nd in 5v5 goal share
– 7th in 5v5 xGoal share
– 7th in 5v5 shot shareOn one hand: His regular season record in LA was excellent, and the Kings were the second best 5v5 goal differential team in the NHL from the moment he started to the moment he was fired.
On the other: There’s no way he can lose to the Oilers in the first round in the East.
