ParticipantYou know Frenchy we had discussed the speed of the Blackhawks on the Calgary game log and i was curious,
The Blackhawks may be 31st in top speed by any player on the team, they may be 24th on speed bursts over 20mph, but an interesting thing i see is they are 12th with bursts over 22mph, 26 times.
Then i dug a bit deeper, do you know all of our young dmen have recorded speed bursts of over 22mph? That’s fantastic and all of our young forwards have except for Greene and Moore. Greene makes it up with hockey IQ, and Moore will eventually hit over 23mph.
I didn’t realize how hard Creviers shot had gotten 7 shots of over 90mph and his best 102.41.

ParticipantJust seeing the beginning of this rebuild and watching this team speed is fantastic.
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantIt’s great we are frustrating the hell out of teams.
Damn man 6 games 11 points
Nice run by the kids
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantThey really miss Bertuzzi on the PP
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantNice Crevier shot was 102mph
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantCalgary had a couple shots from the right circle with way to much time for my liking, gotta keep the pressure up in the dzone
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantWhat a play by Arty to get to the front of the net just couldn’t bury the puck.
If they are going to call that slash on Bedard, they better call it on any Calgary player who does it.
Crevier with another assist, and damn her blasted another shot from the point.
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantAnd we have Crevier under contract for next season, not a chance he’s traded.
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantBesides he’s only 1 of 3 NHL prospects we have who shoot from the right. I here that’s a valuable commodity in this league.

ParticipantCrevier
If you would of told me that Crevier would lead all our D men in goals and 5 on 5 points i wouldn’t of believed it.
Anyone suggesting we would trade him for an old player doesn’t know how rebuilds work. If anyone is traded it would be Murphy and i just don’t see that happening. He’s been very helpful with this young d core and playing minutes that are better suited for him.
This is part of development, when the season started i thought it would be Rinzel leading in points for this team, wrong, shows you how difficult the NHL is for kids.
Speaking of development, Vlasic, Kaiser, Crevier, Arty, Rinzel are all doing that and the one thing i know is there is no way KD is going to trade Crevier without waiting to see what his ceiling really is.
9 points in 17 games played all even strength, +7, 14 minutes a night? Yea he’s not going anywhere

ParticipantNice read Frenchy, great game by the Blackhawks to even overcome the zebras.
So how great Knight is playing when do the SOG start going down because teams start to make the extra pass against him? It’s so nice when we crash the net Knight has been outstanding on every breakaway shot against him. That’s been huge for this point streak. I thought the five hole would be an issue after the Peg game and fortunately he only had a bad night.

ParticipantHonestly in game it drives me crazy with the officials, after the game I’m really impressed they are not letting it rattle them and winning in spite of the refs. Sign of a team that battles through adversity.
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantThese kids may be green but they are so much fun to watch.
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantRefs with no calls of interference and slashing, the high stick goal against and they still won.
Like I’ve been saying both goals against the puck ends up across the middle of the ice opposite Knight and both end up going in. There was one other in this game but there was good defensive pressure and no goal.
Dach with the game winner, nice

ParticipantJust get rid of the high sticking rule if you aren’t going to enforce it, real simple
