I think about how Kane left, it was awful how he didn’t really want to go and KD was like sorry buddy but we need to rebuild.

Now Kane gets to come back by continuing to be relevant and help the next gen of Blackhawks with his experience and play making ability.

This never happens so this is so cool to witness.

This is a signing that is really interesting.

So now for certain you have 2 guys in Bedard and Kane who are fantastic fascilitators,

Mix in all the young talent, this season got very interesting.

You know Wiz this is why i like KD, he’s willing to overpay to move up and get his guy, because once your guy is gone he’s gone.

I guess he did the same thing when it came to Byram, but I’m kind of seeing that move as a younger version of Brian Campbell.

This contract is definitely one paying for future performances, the first thing i said was this was an awful trade if they can’t extend him. Now this may be one of the worst contracts, we’ll see.

But I’m going to play a game of would i rather

Would i rather trade for Byram 25 and pay him 12.5 per, or trade for 30 year old Raddysh and pay him 8 yrs at 8.5 per.

Would i rather trade for Byram 25 and pay him 12.5 per, or trade for Nurse and sign Trouba.

Again didn’t like what we gave up and paid him but he’s a way better option than the other 2 moves.

According to the video, Byram was at his best playing his off side with either Dahlen or Power? So it’ll be interesting to see where he plays but the good news is he can play either side and that’s probably why they were okay with Crevier being part of the trade.

I’m also curious to see what happens to Arty, the one thing i keep hearing is how strong he is on his skates. I can’t believe they were working on his shot during the hockey year, that’s some weird shit. How does he not know how to shoot the puck?

Red Wings drafted 10 times
Between those same numbers

So that’s 12 more top 100 prospects for us in the past 4 years and low and behold the over 40 group but under 100
Greene is a pro already question is how high is his ceiling, Lardis, Kantserov,Behm

The days of relying on one prospect to save the franchise are over.

I think it also has something to do with their draft positions and lack of being aggressive.

Blackhawks have drafted 15 times in the top 40 for 4 years

Red Wings have drafted 14 times in the top 40 since 2019.

I’m liking our draft room so much better than the Red Wings draft room.

I was watching a video about Bowen Byram and I’m guessing he’s going to be paired with Vlasic a lot. The worst statistic that Byram has is puck retrieval in his own zone, but guess who has one of the best in the league, yes that would be Vlasic.

One of the things that confuses me, i think i read in Ellis scouting report, Nick Lardis poor skating????, i think many of them are getting older and confused. Lardis is an exceptional skater and he’s strong for his size i remember him fore checking and he hammered someone and it was fricking impressive,

Nice thing about drafting kids with a good work ethic, the only thing that will keep them from being NHL players is their talent level. Boisvert putting on 15lbs of muscle. I remember Frondell being criticized for his endurance and he ended scoring the best on the endurance test at the combine.

So if you draft kids with a good work ethic that means to me as these kids gain more experience and feel like they belong like Greene and Moore the team defense will only get better and better because it will be like watching a team of Brandon Hagels.

And i know they all won’t make it or be NHL players but the longer developing players are beginning to filter into Rockford, Spellacy, Boisvert, Vanacker, Felcman is getting good reviews. Lardis and Moore made their way up and Tkachuk had nothing but great things to say about playing on the same line as him….

Haru i think the issue is they want the brinks truck to trade for any young top 6 forward, and i don’t blame KD for not making a move like that, i guess Jarmo was trying to flip our 4th OA for a young forward and he found out it wasn’t enough.

I just hope Byram takes off and becomes a 60ish point dman who can play in all situations. If he does this then he was worth the trade and contract.

I always laugh when analysts minimize a team trading away someone whos talented and say they didn’t really need them.

Hockey is the ultimate team sport and you go to the playoffs and win a Stanley Cup by having the accumulation of the most talent on your roster.

I still remember the days of fans going on and on of not having a 2nd line center and now that’s turning into we need a scoring winger on Bedard line.
