ParticipantI can’t wait for Kantserov and Frondell to come to North America, i just want them on the ice plenty of time to figure out what position to play.
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantDefinitely Foligno, Dickinson or Lafferty won’t be here next year.
I can see Kantserov and Frondell on the team next year replacing 2 of Foligno, Angie and Lafferty. IMO that 3rd spot will be given to an overpaid veteran forward, maybe on a 2 year deal, to eat up some cap space. Can’t ice a team with 8 to 10 guys on ELC’s for both cap floor requirements and the need for some veterans.
Vanacker, Spellacy, maybe Boisvert at the Rock next year. Behm committed to Arizona State next season. Nestrasil likely still in college next season. Also next year, West plays at Michigan State, probably for 2 years.
I agree but i think Bedard will get around $12aav, Mikhelev 2x between 5 and 6aav, Murphy 2x5aav and if they do decide to bring Foligno back for 1 more year at $4 that gets them to the floor next year

ParticipantIs amazing how much better goalies look when the team in front of them doesn’t take any shortcuts.
If anyone says otherwise just look at the teams we played, the Blackhawks had to scratch claw and fight to get any quality shots on goal. Most everything is contested.
It’s interesting following all these rebuilds and it always seems that the 2nd quarter of the season is the toughest for teams.
I’m happy that the short cuts have put to rest most times and they are playing through their opponents not around them.
I guess scouts forget to measure the size of the hearts of these prospects because Lardis is not taking any shortcuts and when i saw how he graded at the combine he’s no stranger to hard work.
Moore, Lardis and whoever is going to eventually be a hybrid 3rd shutdown slash scoring line.
I remember the days of our 3rd and 4th lines owning possession in the opponents zone, I’m beginning to see it in the very near future.

ParticipantI don’t expect Dach and Slaggert to be part of the team two years from now.[/quote]
Definitely Foligno, Dickinson or Lafferty won’t be here next year.
I can see Dach having a place on this team even as a 13th forward, agree about Slaggert, one thing is for sure it’s going to get really interesting on this team really quick.

ParticipantThank you refs
I really didn’t think they would have a chance tonight.
Soda with another win which I’m surprised about but credit also goes to the team effort in front of him, no easy lanes for the opponent to take
Lardis, Greene, Moore and Arty growing into NHL players
Even though Lardis and Moore didn’t get on the scoresheet those 2 are 2 difficult players to play against, can’t wait for the scoring to come.
That was the issue with Reichel if he wasn’t scoring he wasn’t offering much of anything else.

ParticipantSeriously

ParticipantSo where is the donation box to the refs where we can get away with all the slashing hooking and holding the golden Knights do?
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantThem he hurts 95, hahaha how do you miss that wide when you are that close, he’s brutal
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantI really can’t wait for Dickinson to be gone how many times is he going to end up on his ass while skating which leads to another goal, and instead of covering someone coming to the net he skates to it and covers no one.
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantTalk about mean, Crevier splitting Tom Wilsons atom, hahaha
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantGood stuff Frenchy but I’ve gotta say since Christmas break they have gotten back to basics, Pope wrote an article about Blashill wanting his young nice defenseman to get mean and it looks like the message has been received by the entire team.
Other than Knight being a leaky faucet vs the Pens this team is taking it to the opponent, this is a great because they are learning to win without Nazar and Bedard.
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantSo did anyone else start laughing when they had Crevier 4th on the shootout?
Capitals sure looked like a slow team tonight
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantThat’s why I’m excited about the Blackhawks rebuild, it won’t be long before we have more talent from player 1 to player 19 dressing each night for the Blackhawks.
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantSpoiler alert Canada will win again
How do you feel about their trio in the crease? USA pretty solid top to bottom in all 3 phases.
Canada just has more talent, even if Bedard isn’t there.
BetweenTheDots
ParticipantI really enjoyed how physical the Blackhawks have been since Christmas break. Amazing how teams can’t score 5 plus goals a game when you play through them instead of around them.
Even the vets, i was complaining about Bert, Dickinson, Donato and it looks like they have gotten the message.
Arty is an adventure at times but lately he’s getting more and more dangerous.
