KeymasterShort answer: yes, I think expansion prolongs certain careers. However,I also think it creates more young players who get rushed to the NHL before they’re quite ready.

KeymasterNo one wants to engage with this on a daily basis so we just stop coming by.
He’s fun to debate back and forth with. I think the site has bigger issues like: Why has my latest post, which is just my updated preferred opening night lineup, not been approved in over two days?
Because I am the lead writer, editor, do the books, do the sales and work two other equivalent full-time jobs on top of it for the Flyers Alumni and Flyers. Plus I’m in Ireland Journaling the Alumni trip and managing around the 5-hour time difference. That’s why comment approvals lag at times. Thanks.

KeymasterThe issue seems to be fixed now. If you have a technical issue here (whether sign-in, blog access, commenting, forum, etc) please let me know. If it’s not something I can correct, I will bring it to the attention of FZP Digital to look into.

KeymasterIf you are having an issue with postings, logouts, user name, avatar or whatever the case may be, bring it to my attention directly and I’ll have FZP Digital look into it. I am actually meeting with them tomorrow afternoon.
Terry G, send me the avatar image you want to add. It’s a quick fix on this end. send to meltzpuck(at)Gmail. I’ll see it quicker that way.

Keymasteri tried, looks like it never posted

KeymasterThat is probably Hart’s next move: spending a season in Switzerland or Germany.

KeymasterI think the NHLPA will force the NHL’s hand in allowing these kids to get back to work. There’s no legal precedent to keep them out of the league.
The NHL clearly doesn’t want any of the players back in the league no matter what. He’s the thing: If the league ties this thing up for half the season — by then, none of the players have played in two years — by the time any of them would be game ready, what team would sign them even if you take PR out of the equation?

KeymasterNote — Ryan’s blog about the Penguins broadcasts and the Athletic article was accidentally posted with no category tags. I reposted it to the front page and added the correct tags. My apologies. It’s a fun read, in my opinion.
