Bill MeltzerKeymasterThe message boards aren’t where we want them to be. But the site on the whole is doing very well so far. Several thousand registered users (with no advertising dollars spent yet), time on site per has exceeded our expectations and a high event count.
People come for different reasons. Most do not participate in the forums, so that is a big goal moving forward. But we have other aspects of the site planned.
By the way, we have a very high rate of converting Facebook group membership into site registration here. However, most there use the chats via Messenger. We do want more on the Forums here but the bottom line is building user base, and that part is going quite well.

Bill MeltzerKeymasterClarke was close with Cliff Fletcher and he also gave Chuck his start in management as his assistant general manager. I’m sure that helped Chuck in the process here. That said, Fletcher and Zito fit a similar profile: Ivy League educated (Fletcher at Harvard, Zito at Yale), both started out as player agents before “switching sides” to management, both did the assistant-GM to head GM route. So while Chuck was probably the first choice all along, there was also a “type” they were looking for after Hexy. They wanted someone Dave Scott and Comcast would say, “OK, he checks the boxes we feel comfortable with after the last GM.”
Bill MeltzerKeymasterNot banned. I have the issue on my phone as well with repeated logout. Doesn’t happen on the laptop. Something FZP Digital will have to look into.
Bill MeltzerKeymasterI have his contact info.
Bill MeltzerKeymasterI like Hugo’s work. It’s a good suggestion.

Bill MeltzerKeymasterI think Briere-Darche could trade.
Bill MeltzerKeymasterPelletier will stay.
Not sure either come here. I do think they have interest in Bennett. Nelson has long been a Flyer-killer but consensus seems to be that he’s in decline.

Bill MeltzerKeymasterForgot to mention Snowden. He has a legit shot to be the next Phantoms HC.
It won’t be Sam Morin.

Bill MeltzerKeymasterYes, Gator has a shot. I wouldn’t be shocked if Jay McKee is offered that job (assuming Luke Richardson, as much rumored, gets the Flyers AC job).
Bill MeltzerKeymasterSame agent in Russia or same NHl agent? Most European players have two agents: one who represents them in the NHL, one at home.

Bill MeltzerKeymasterThey did the aligned systems previously. Tortorella was against it, believing a coach should have totally freedom to implement his own systems. It doesn’t really seem to make a big difference, one way or the other. Most players adapt.

Bill MeltzerKeymasterNothing health-related with Lappy.
He had no HC experience before taking the Phantoms job.
