ParticipantLev still needs to master the art of checking. Hire Bickell as a coach.

ParticipantWhat are the odds of a McTavish/Bedard fight in the next game? There was a lot of animosity there.

ParticipantI agree. Scrap the 11/7 bullshit. You are going to wear down the forwards. If the defensemen can’t play a full game in the NHL, send them down! Tell Blashill to get his head out of his arse!

Participantagain the officiating screws the Hawks. This is becoming a theme with these refs!

ParticipantI am so tired of this 11/7 split. Rotate the defensemen if you want them to get playing time, but you are killing the forwards. No wonder you were fired in Detroit!

ParticipantThat was much better, but someone has to tell Levshunov to SHOOT THE PUCK! Kudos to the referee for correcting himself, taking away the penalty call. Colorado has such a smothering defense. The Hawks had their chances. It is a learning experience. We are going to get a lot of those this year.

ParticipantSo, here is a suggestion for the NHL. Institute a rule that reads Any contact with the head, whether intentional or incidental, will result in a game misconduct. Then let’s see how often it happens.

ParticipantIf I were working on a farm, I would call that cow manure.

ParticipantI don’t know what you were looking at, but it was a direct hit to the head with the top of his arm. You can see his head rock back. The problem with this, the NHL doesn’t care. Twice in two games and the NHL hasn’t taken any action. This is deplorable. They need stricter rules on hits to the head. Whether it was intentional or not, it is not acceptable. These are players’ lives. You would think the NHL would care a little about that.

ParticipantHe has to get away from the 11/7 split. We played two periods with 10 forwards. They were gassed in the third period. If you have to worry about these defenseman so much, maybe they don’t belong in the NHL.

ParticipantThe NHL has no integrity. These Refs are horrible. The slash happened right in front of him and then he is so thin-skinned that he has to call Bedard for unsportsmanlike conduct. He blew it and he had to hide his embarrassment. Why doesn’t the NHL protect players’ heads? The NFL goes out of its way to do it. Twice in the last two games! The NHL will never be anything more than a junior league. Their officiating is crap!
BJPHAWKFAN
ParticipantWhat is poignant about their play is that they are performing it while missing three veterans. I can’t wait until more kids come up. I think Bedard is starting to have fun. There are more kids to play with in the sandbox!
BJPHAWKFAN
ParticipantDoes anyone else think that Bedard is itching for a fight?
BJPHAWKFAN
ParticipantAre the Blackhawks recalling anyone from Rockford to replace Foligno?
BJPHAWKFAN
ParticipantMaybe this is the fan in me, but it seems to me that the replay officials in Toronto are sticking it to the Blackhawks. The stick above the shoulders was a no-doubter. We all saw it. That offsides that wasn’t called. Unless he had the puck on a string ala Mikita, he did not maintain possession. Bedard constantly getting kicked out of faceoff’s. The penalties that are not called. I don’t mean to whine, but my God! Call the game right.
