Are the Blackhawks recalling anyone from Rockford to replace Foligno?

Maybe this is the fan in me, but it seems to me that the replay officials in Toronto are sticking it to the Blackhawks. The stick above the shoulders was a no-doubter. We all saw it. That offsides that wasn’t called. Unless he had the puck on a string ala Mikita, he did not maintain possession. Bedard constantly getting kicked out of faceoff’s. The penalties that are not called. I don’t mean to whine, but my God! Call the game right.

I had season tickets at the old stadium. I drank enough beer in those fifteen years to last me a lifetime. I will drink socially, but I limit myself to two beers. I am done leaning over the porcelain throne. As far as Murphy goes, he has been playing well. These kids aren’t ready to be on their own.

I am surprised and disappointed that no one went after that Devils defenseman who put a high hit on Bedard. You have to take care of the guy who takes care of you. He is also the guy who gave Bert the high elbow in the back of the head. Still not high on NHL ref’s.

I can’t help but be disappointed in the number of defensive breakdowns the Hawks suffered in this game. I think it is time to end the 11/7 gambit Blashill has going on. These forwards are tired by the end of the game and it showed tonight. I watched Lev get knocked on his ass a couple of times. He needs to go back to the Rock! I counted three times Bedard got slashed, cross-checked, and took a hit to the head, and these Referees are not making the calls. If I were KFC, I would complain to the league. This is the future of hockey and they should be treated as such.

My wife thought I was nuts. I had the Bears game on the TV and the Hawks on the Laptop. I would like to know what Bertuzzi said to the Ref. The roughing was a weak call, and I think Bertuzzi told him so, not in church language. How about Connor leading the league in points? I am still of the opinion that Levshunov needs more seasoning. Great game by Sod’s. That was one hell of a save. Good for Moore to get his first goal. Go Hawks!

Bedard and Bertuzzi kind of remind me of Kane and Domi. I think that Knight has the spirit of Tony O in him. Loved how the guys stood up for one another. I don’t know how long they can keep this up before some of these rookies hit a wall, but I am loving the way they are playing right now. I would imagine that Nazar has some kind of contusion on that leg. Hopefully, he won’t be out long. Go Hawks!

So, I stream CHSN because I refuse to be taken advantage of by Comcast. There are about four minutes left in the game, and all of a sudden, the feed shuts down, and they post that the Hawks won 5-2. It was 4-1 when the feed shut down. WTF? I was able to backtrack the time to see Bedard score the empty net goal. How about Knight and Bertuzzi? My top two stars of the game. Their defense was nothing to write home about and they gave up a lot of SOG’s, but it was fun to watch.

I say stay the course, KFC. You don’t pull a crop out of the ground before it’s ready. Just look at Bedard. He is so much better than he was last year! The boys are learning to play in the NHL.

I can see them trading Murphy and Dickenson. I don’t think anyone would be interested in Foligno.

Hey Wiz, what about this kid J.J. Weibusch from Penn State? Has he already been drafted? Believe he is a sophomore.

They are getting absolutely schooled by the Jets. 4-1 in the second. I can’t watch anymore.

Those on ice officials sucked! But I am really rankled by the offside that wasn’t called offside. What is the linesman looking at? Then, Toronto said he maintained possession when he clearly didn’t. This league is still a minor league with calls like that.

Whoever said that wasn’t offside in the Toronto office should be fired. He did not maintain possession of the puck. This is why the NHL will always be considered a minor league to all of the major sports. I really lose it when I see crap like that. I also got what I have been waiting for all year. Bertuzzi explodes. That’s the guy I wanted to sign! Bedard had a hell of a game, but as usual, the refs were looking the other way when it came to penalizing Ottawa. I counted four penalties before the first one was called. Except for a three minute period, they executed well. Good for the boys!
