ParticipantAt this rate, the Hawks’ pick could come after the Florida pick.

ParticipantI am a huge fan of Kaiser. He is steady and we need that. Along with Rinzel, Vlasic, Grzelck, Murphy, and Levshunov, we have a good blue line. Plus, there are several more defensemen to come. Once the verterans are jettisoned, we have a very bright future on the backline. Just my opinion, but I think Lev needs to go back to Rochford. He needs to learn how to be a threat to the forwards on the other team. Is there any news on Lafferty?

ParticipantThat was a very entertaining game! Loved the back and forth. The Hawks were hemmed in their zone for a bit but it was the only time. They did well getting the puck out. Can’t wait for the next time they play the Ducks. We haven’t seen this kind of hockey for years!

ParticipantWow! Who would have thunk it? Kaiser made a bad pass and then deflected in a Blues goal. One unhappy goalie on that one. Other than that, I like his game. I think Bertuzzi will be gone at the trade deadline. Rinzel is playing well, so Arty may go down because this seven defenseman doesn’t play well. I understand his thinking, but KFC must be doing a slow burn not having Lafferty on the ice. And how about Bedard? He is showing a bit more toughness this year. Good for him!

ParticipantI think they had puck possession for about ten seconds last night. They have to do so much better in that department

ParticipantI wasn’t impressed by Soderblom tonight. He made a fantastic save, but keeps giving up rebounds, and he is slow going side to side. I watched the game on the CHSN app, and the first period was difficult to navigate. When they went to a commercial, they didn’t come back. I had to click out to the home page, then click on the watch live, and then click on the game. It’s like they ran the commercials on a constant loop. Wasn’t impressed. They did get better, but I missed the first minute of the game because of the commercials. They need to do better, or I’m canceling it. The boys looked good again tonight, but they have some areas to work on. Lev was responsible for that first goal, and Murphy was way out of position for the second. Bedard needs to take a lesson from Nazar on breakaway shots.

ParticipantI think the Hawks should put Donato back with Bedard. Wasn’t impressed with his wingers.

ParticipantIn the first period, which had a bunch of flubs, Knight saved their butts. They played better in the second but let down a little in the third. I see progress and that’s all that matters at this point. Bedard was just a couple of inches away from scoring the first goal. Nazar. Can you say anything more about this kid? I even noticed Bedard playing defense.

ParticipantI just got the CHSN app on my laptop. Screw Comcast! I see the Hawks are playing 7 games on ESPN+. I won’t be watching those as I am not paying Disney. I believe in the first amendment.

ParticipantSo, Comcast just put the Marquee Network (Cubs) on their premium package. It is time to find a new cable company

ParticipantBad news for Jamie Benn. Collapsed lung. Needs surgery.

Participantgo to forums, look up blackhawks and then you will see something like general discussions. that’s not the name but I am sure you will figure it out.

ParticipantShould we be worried that they lost the first preseason game? No. There are a lot of guys in camp learning a new system. When most of those guys leave, they will go to teams playing another system. It’s the guys staying who need to worry about the new system. Give them time. The vets usually adapt. The young guys should catch on quickly. Let’s see where they are at 20 games. As for the defensemen, whoever is here is here. I think there will be a trade, but with KFC, who knows?

ParticipantThey have a lot of upside, more than they have had in the past few years. I am looking forward to a much better season and beyond. Let’s hope that Blash gives them what they need. I’ll also be watching Q in Anaheim.
