Hey Wiz, what do you think of Zack Benson from Buffalo? He reminds me of Shaw. What are they doing with Savoi?
I have been saying forever that they should have sent Arty down to Rockford. His defense wasn’t ready, and he never shot the puck. Mykeyev is a free agent and has already turned down an offer. It is time to lose more veterans and get these kids into the NHL. Keep Bert because he has a knack for scoring on the power play. They need to take a hard look at the assistant coaches, also. I don’t care who they draft fourth, forward/defenseman, because there is going to be talent there. There is so much in the pipeline that we have a reason to be excited. I don’t think that Vancouver will draft Malholtra if Stenberg is there. If you could get a Makar-like defenseman, I am all for it.
Okay. Apparently, this place has become a ghost town. BTD only one posting. Did everyone just give up? Haven’t seen the Coach post in a while. Anyway, this team has become dysfunctional. Why haven’t they brought up Savoi? Why bring up this no-talent dude? Is KFC trying to cement the number two pick? No guarantees with the lottery. Bedard has to feel like a man on an island. As bad as they are, I see good things coming if they learn how to forecheck, check, and play defense. Maybe some changes in the assistant coaches are warranted. I hear the kid from Sweden is just as good as McKenna, if not better. I don’t think Bettman is going to do the Hawks any favors. The sooner he retires, the better.
Is this place a ghost town now that the season is just about over? Where are Coach Frenchy’s articles?
I can hear the echo of my words. Has everybody left the site? I thought the boys played well last night. I am really looking forward to Monday night’s duel in San Jose. It should be fun.
I am going to keep saying this until the Hawks get the message. Arty does not belong in the NHL. He is not ready. He makes one mistake after another. He has no clue what to do with the puck once he gets pressured in the defensive zone. I would much rather have KK up here. And get Arty off the power play. He sucks at it.
I am sure more veterans will be gone at the end of the season. Lafferty and Burakoski{?} for sure. I like Mikayev{?} on the penalty kill, and the guy just hustles. TT will probably be wearing another sweater, but I think Bertuzzi stays. Time for some new blood. It may take them some time to gel, but next season looks like it will be worth the wait. They need to learn how to forecheck and take the body. They also need to protect the front of the net better. Unless they trade Donoto, he will be back.
We keep forgetting about Vanacker. There are a couple of other guys coming up, too. I don’t know if anyone noticed Blashill’s reaction to Arty. Whenever he is pressured, he gives up the puck. Knight had to make a save because Arty lost the puck and you could see Blashill’s frustration. He should have been sent to Rockford at the beginning of the season. And why doesn’t he ever shoot the puck? I know I sound like a broken record, but he isn’t ready for the Not Here Long league. Why is it that NHL refs ignore Bedard constantly getting mugged? Time to fire every idiot at the office of player safety. They are a joke. And to put Sarro’s in charge? The man was a goon!!!!!
I could not find this site on the Forum page for quite a while. I was surprised they kept Slaggert over Dach. Help is coming, I think. There are still players on the roster who can be replaced I.E. #24. There will be a few veterans phased out, also. Looking forward to the future.
I went to the game last night with a couple of old friends. The parking cost is ridiculous. For twenty dollars more, you could buy a ticket. I thought they looked quite lethargic. Five minutes into the second period, they had four SOG. What’s that? They need a better coach for the defense. They constantly leave the front of the net to go halfway up the D zone. What I can’t stand is all of the noise in the UC. It is constant. You can’t talk to the guy sitting next to you. I love this team, but I hate that place!
