Domi and Joshua were LTIR from day one therefore they had the cap space and were retarded to trade Lorentz as part of the deal and brining back Wood with double the cap hit.
Both Domi and Joshua were on the IR to begin the season.
They were place on LTIR on the 30th of September. Well after the season started.

It boggles the mind how the Leafs kept Groulx on this roster and traded Lorentz. What a retarded decision. You can tell that Groulx is a career top-six AHLer. He has no business being in the Leafs bottom-six. Lorentz knew his role, he was a big body, he knew how to use it and was a great, home town guy. Big mistake.
Full credit to the Leafs PK which has been elite this year. It’s not always pretty or perfect but it’s been very effective.
Lorentz has a higher cap hit which is probably why he got shipped out.
