How do you keep a player that doesn’t want to be on the team?That’s like reading the final chapter of a book and wondering why it ended that way.
Marner did not want to leave this team or Toronto. The franchise, the management, the media that owns the team and the most retarded among the fan base (along with some disgusting criminals) pushed him to leave.
As I’ve said 100 times before, Tavares gets treated like a king despite being the worst, by far, playoff performer among the core players. Why? Because of good pajama PR. They won the division last year. He had 103 points. Just his PP contributions alone would have propelled the Leafs into the playoffs. He literally proved it last year. And his defensive game would prevent a lot of goals.
