That’s like reading the final chapter of a book and wondering why it ended that way.

Marner did not want to leave this team or Toronto. The franchise, the management, the media that owns the team and the most retarded among the fan base (along with some disgusting criminals) pushed him to leave.

As I’ve said 100 times before, Tavares gets treated like a king despite being the worst, by far, playoff performer among the core players. Why? Because of good pajama PR. He fucked the Leafs in the ass on his 1st contract, provided insufficient value for that cap hit and does anybody care? Nope. Leafs won the Cup by saving all that money, didn’t they? Oh, they didn’t. Damn.

The next guy to “doesn’t want to be on the team” will be Matthews. He explicitly said, he would only stay in TO if this team didn’t fall off a cliff. Well, the cliff is way behind the team now and they’re heading for a splat.
