Marner left on his accord…no fans “made” him leave….that’s a moronic statement.

But with that said, the leafs and Matthews will miss his reg season presence for sure and as of now, marner’s money doesnt seem to have been spent as well as hoped.
Now, I say this on July 7th…..well before Free agency comes to a close and the reg season starts….so alot can still change. Still so early

As with every single year, I usually dont judge the leafs until 20 games into the season…this year I’ll give them 30…..but I truly only care about what they do in the playoffs.
I expect marner to have an adjustment period as well (which Im sure the marner haters will use as a “see I told you he wouldnt get as many points”) but then he’ll continue to get lots of reg season points once adjusted. The true test for him will be in the playoffs – games 5 – 7.

At the end of the day, marner turned down $13.5m per from the leafs. He chose to leave, not built for Toronto.

McMann is not top 6, Macelli might be. Having 2 question marks in the top 6 is not a good move. My guess is there is one more piece coming in and where there is smoke there is fire: Kadri?!? (or a top 6 RW for Knies/Matthews)

Then the line up could be:

Knies, Matthews, Domi/Macelli
Kadri, Tavares, Nylander
McMann (Cowen), Roy, Macelli/Domi
Lorentz, Laughton, Pezz
