Marner had a good playoffs, nothing like he ever did in Toronto except…..the final 3 games of the Cup, he had 1 pt and was completely invisible in game 5.
Games got big….he got small.still not worth $14m the leafs offered him.
He should have accepted the trade to the canes….would be a cup winner right now.For 9 years marner couldnt get it done in Toronto, couldnt handle the pressure. Had plenty of opportunity to step up when Matthews was injured in the playoffs, but he never did. Also having him getting paid $14m on the leafs wouldnt have gotten the leafs in the playoffs this this year anyway.
