This upcoming year will the last year of LTIR abuse.

It’s going to be horrifying to watch teams abuse it one last time.

    Unless the Leafs do it.

Those morons don’t know what LTIR is outside of a guy with a bad cough who makes 1.5mil.

oh I know that, but another reason for me to question Tre moves.

Would be nice if they could move Rielly and get some assets. but thats a dream world

Imagine the market for a LHD over 30 that can’t run your PP, sucks defensively, randomly performs great if he’s feeling it and generally is a guy who skates around doing nothing at 7.5mil?

Whomever put in Matthew Schaefer as their #1 selection last year must be chomping at the bit on Bet MGM.

Wang is a weird prospect because he doesn’t do anything great other than being huge and skating well. Not really any good comps other than maybe somebody like Nick Perbix?

A mildly grumpy old man not yelling at kids to get off his lawn said:

he was on the same team as likely blackhawk choice frondell. i mean, if someone with the name mans goos says a guy is the goods, you have to believe it

I keep seeing lots of mock drafts with Frondel #2.

Not sure if they are just trying to get clicks / traction or something, but seems interesting.

People said I and a few others were insane to have Barkov over Drouin, but that’s how it went down. I don’t think this is the same case though. Frondell isn’t the same and Misa is not a one trick pony winger.

They basically let Ekblad take a breather and free up space to add Jones for his PED’s, seems like a good time.

random thought, I kinda hope the habs draft goalie prospect Måns Goos, just for the name alone.

Noted Allan Walsh client Mans Goos

Allan Walsh talked about older players waiting until mid-season to sign and become basically playoff rentals and avoid full seasons. Seems plausible.

    Per Lebrun:

More on the 84-game reg season starting in 26-27 season (reduce pre-season to 4 games max per team), the idea would be to start the reg season in last week of September as a result of shorter pre-season.
The added games likely coming within the division.

82 games is more than enough, teams already have a hard time making it to the playoffs with a healthy roster… anything foNeer more profit lol.

Moar profit, moar injuries, moar whining

So how long before Peterka lifts the Cup with the Mammoth or scores 90 points or something like all the other young Sabres jettisoned for peanuts?

Tavares is better than Bennett and Luustofucker and Lundell…who cares? If he’s making 9mil they’re fucked, if he’s making 7mil they’re fine, if he’s making 5 mil they’re doing well…still will lose in the first round, but hey!

It’s easier to trade him with a year left then as a pending RFA. Who knows what they’re internal cap is?

Ducks are giving Marner a dump truck of money and they have good young centremen already like McTavish and Carlsson…don’t love the return, but they got out of his contract
