ParticipantLeafs got 5 shots in 15 minutes. That PP looks amazing though.
33.3% fucking awesome percentage thanks Willie.

ParticipantYes absolutely too short of a sample, but it is you who has constantly bashed Sullivan since his hiring. Usually in your arrogant, disrespectful way, trying to show up anybody who has shown any support for Sullivan. Sullivan was promoted to work with Lalonde and “bring new ideas to the power play” You didn’t like the hire and shit on it right away because you know everything. TO date you have been absolutely wrong as the PP has been running at a rate that would have them in the top 10 of PP percentage since Sullivan has been involved. So no matter how many times you belligerently try to shove your opinion down our throats, to date it is incorrect or at the very least unfounded. It is your opinion and is blatantly proven wrong by the stats. Please note I am discussing Sullivan and the PP so moving the goal posts to “well the Leafs still are not winning” is just immature.

ParticipantFirst off I never said amazing, I just didn’t shit on him without him getting a chance like some other incel twatwaffle. However since you asked so politely I believe that:
When Savard was fired late December the PP was about 13% and Leafs were dead last in NHL
I think recently it is close to 19% and the Leafs are close to 19%. Not shabby considering the whole they have had to dig themselves out of, and how shit it was while Nylander was out
And again, the only reason for the slight improvement is because Savard was so useless at his job that him being fired would automatically cause an improvement. The PP is done by committee, not by Sullivan alone. Firing Savard was addition by subtraction. But the PP is still weak considering the weapons it has just like I predicted it would under Savard. Nylander not giving a fuck has more to do with the failure of this team than his injury.
Major improvement. Close to 25% since Savard is gone.
ribs1909
ParticipantInteresting fact according to Statmuse, not opinion being shoved down your throats as fact.
Toronto power play when Savard was fired on Dec 22nd 13.3%
Toronto monthly PP percentage since the change:
December 4/8 = 50%
January 22.6%
Feb 44.4I am guessing if the PP the first few months of the season was as successful as it has been since Savard was fired the Leafs may be in a playoff spot.

ParticipantYou could have saved me the time reading and just said “everyone is wrong when they do not agree with me, and if they do they are retards”.
Tell me again how amazing Steve Sullivan is as a PP coach you absolute fucking retard.

ParticipantYah I don’t argue with many on here, but you do with pretty much everybody.
You don’t argue because you have your hivemind that you agree with. I “argue” with the hivemind and I’m usually the correct one and you’re the wrong one.
Too stupid to realize you have almost single handedly ruined two sites, yet constantly calling people retards for their opinions.
If I call you a retard, it’s because you are acting like one. Like now, I’ll call you a retard for the claim that I “single handedly ruined two sites” when the reality is that this format is dying. This site absolutely sucks and the previous site killed itself because it’s run by a retard that didn’t realize what few users he had left really wanted. But yeah, I totally did that all by myself. All me. You absolute fucking retard.
I have never before witnessed anyone as disrespectful of others as you constantly are.
You have to be respectful to receive my respect. If I’m disrespectful of you it’s because you’ve been a world class asswipe. You get what you deserve.
So tired of keyboard warriors like you who if ever got out of their mom’s basement and treated people like this in person would live a very painful life. But keep being a dick, and moving the goalposts.
Blah blah blah, you’re a bitch. Keep being wrong and pretending to be the victim. It’s typical among your type.
On a more serious note been meaning to ask for a while. If you hate them so much why:
– don’t you move from Canada
– do you still cheer for the Leafs?Leaving Canada is very high on the priority list but not easily done as this communist shit hole doesn’t let you leave easily. Canada actually has exit taxes they force you to pay. But that’s an entire story you’re not entitled to know about. Just know that this refugee camp of a country has hit the iceberg and it’s going down.
I want the Leafs to win a Stanley Cup. I “cheer” for what is best for the team to achieve that goal. You, on the other hand, would watch 18 monkeys shit themselves as long as they wore a Leafs jersey. And that’s pretty much what the game vs. Ottawa looked like.
You could have saved me the time reading and just said “everyone is wrong when they do not agree with me, and if they do they are retards”.

ParticipantOK, it’s time to get the Tank out of mothballs and start losing. Time to get near the bottom and get a top end draft pick. It’s obvious that the bed has been stripped and the shitty sheets are in the wash. Anyone that wants this team to succeed must get on the tank and get some prospects into the cupboard. The Leafs missed the wave, the change in hockey. Teams that acquired young talent are now riding the wave to the top. Watching the Habs, Sens, Wings and others, it’s not the veterans that get the job done, it’s youth with mobile defensemen that win in today’s NHL. The Leafs started to build a team to beat Florida. The problem with that, Florida too is on the decline. Both teams could miss the playoffs. The answer is asset management and rebuild your draft capital. It’s time for Rielly, Domi, McMann, OEL and Stolarz to move on and draft picks coming back. The only untouchables include Matthews, Nylander, Woll and Hildiby. Now is not the time to be a buyer. Get the assets, fire the GM and Coach, start with a new Coaching staff and use the acquired Cap Space to get into free agency and rebuild. My friends, you can argue back and forth and disagree, but the retool must start this week, and not the end of the season.
Well said. Hopefully we can get a couple of 1st round picks and/or young prospects
ribs1909
ParticipantIt never ceases to amaze me how many GMs are too stupid to make the moves us the people demand, or how when they do move a player they accept a much lover return than us the fans would get if we were the GM.

ParticipantYeah I am ok with a difference of opinion.
Absolute bullshit. The only thing you have a bigger problem accepting than a difference opinion is accepting reality.

ParticipantDeep breaths, ribs. I can see you really struggle with this difference of opinion stuff. Straight to the personal attacks! It’s ok, relax, I’m rarely here. ” />
Yeah I am ok with a difference of opinion. Just not smug miserable people repeating it 3 times. That seems more like mocking than an opinion, but carry on.

ParticipantThe trading can’t start soon enough
But guys this is such a difficult market market to play in because of the media and the fans and stuff!
I saw it the first time asshole. You trying to take over from UG as the biggest prick on this board?
There are plenty of people that know a fuck lot more about hockey than either you or me that have stated this before. There are plenty of great hockey players that have also said they would never play in Toronto for these reasons. But you do you and keep on being a miserable cunt.
ribs1909
ParticipantI don’t think the shot clock for the Leafs is correct.
Only 2 shot Bob.Leafs to the PP
Oh it’s correct.
Is this the “playoff push” Keith Pelley was talking about??
If you do not think there is more pressure playing in a market like Toronto or Montreal well…..
ribs1909
ParticipantThe Toronto Star and Damien “sucks” Cox can fuck all the way off. What a bullshit article he wrote, and I 1000% wouldn’t be surprised if that’s another in a long list of things that drives AM34 out of the city. (Coincidentally, I will admit that the fan treatment of Marner is another, although I still 100% think that needed to be done).
Fuck this bullshit that he chose politics over playoffs. The guys just lead his team to Olympic gold for the first time in 40 years, hell yeah he should go to the White House. He didn’t even go to the SOTU, and still played last night. But, bullshit legacy media can’t miss the opportunity to make everything political.
Yep, not to mention the loser know it all fans including a poster on here. Makes it a difficult market to play in. Now we get to spend the next month or two complaining about the lack of returns we get on all the players that are not good enough to get the Leafs into the playoffs but should get us a pile of 1st round picks and or top end prospects.
ribs1909
ParticipantI was told Hellebuyck couldn’t win the big game and Binnington was clutch.
Too many missed chances, failed 5 on 3 PP was the turning point.
Americans earned it. They did it for Johnny Hockey.
We were told by some asshat goalies can’t win games they only lose them. What a goal post shifting idiot.
ribs1909
ParticipantWell, would you look at that. HUGE semi-final game, everything on the line, win or go home, and our boy Mitchy has two shots on goal and is a ghost all game. $12M well spent. I’m so glad he rejected whatever the Leafs were offering.
Congrats, Mitch, you’re an amazing 3v3 player. Too bad the NHL is never 3v3 when it matters.
You forgot Rantanen scored a beauty.
