Looks like Hildeby gets the net tonight. Seems as though Woll can’t be trusted (injury risk) to play even though it’s not a back-to-back. I suppose that’s to best protect him from the LTIR, which is wise, however, long term, if Woll can’t play the majority of games, the Leafs will always have a problem with their starting goalie situation. Stolarz, for the exact same reasons, is in the same boat.
It’s alright though, I was once told Hildeby is as good as Hellebuyck so it’ll be just fine.

That being said, it looked like we had 5 Tanevs out there last night. McCabe, Benny, Stecher, OEL, and Carlo were all beasts.

What UG forgot to mention was that the Leafs figured it out during the first period and started playing a great cycle game. As good as he is could not have done this with Marner.

I have been busy with World Juniors. Have the Maple Leafs lost in regulation since hiring Sullivan?
Again, I was the first to say the Leafs PP was the difference between being in last place and 1st place. The firing of Savard will yield improvement by subtraction, that’s how useless and retarded Savard was. Again, another thing I predicted years ago.
As for Sullivan, it’s already been stated that the Leafs PP is now by “committee” so for him to get all the credit would be your usual retarded interpretation. He’s done next to nothing other than scrap Savard’s idiotic scheme. Again, addition by subtraction.
Leafs still in a far off spot and a long, long way to go before they’re anywhere near playing like they’re supposed to play to be a serious contender.
